5. Attack of the Living Rems

Ritsuka's pov;

After everything that happened yesterday, I woke up very frantic. And that's when Lindo told me everything on why this happened to me and why mom was kidnapped after I confronted him about Urie telling me that he went to London in studying to become an exercise.

And how he wishes to protect Mina and me.

Although I wanted to ask him about her, too much has already started to pile on in my head. Especially about Rem. Did he only wanted to protect me because of the grimoire, or did he truly wanted to protect me for me?

Lindo's pov;

With everything I told Ristuka, it's apparent that she wants answers to something else. I guess that it involves either Azuna, Mina, or something else. Still, I'm glad that she's taking it slow, or else it'll make things worse if something unexpected comes up.

Mina's pov;

After everything that's happened yesterday, I knew that things were going to get worse if this continued. It's a feeling on my instincts, and I sometimes hate it when they're right.

While I was in the middle row of my class with Azuna having a break, the great Rem Kaginiku came to our class looking for Ritsuka?

Not believing in what he was saying was true, Azuna had told him that Ritska wasn't in school today. However, that's when Rem said to us that she was and spotted her at the library. And yet, there was something different about Rem that I just couldn't put my finger on. After learning that Ritsuka could be in danger at the school without the required amount of protection from the devils and vampires, Azuna quickly contacted Lindo that she's here. While in the process, we spilt up to go out and find her, and roundup at the courtyard.

Lindo; "Did you girls find her?"

Azuna; "No."

"I'm trying, but I can't. Her essence is being undetected at the moment by something else."

Azuna; "Don't worry Mina, we'll keep trying." And that's when Azuna left to search somewhere else, while Lindo and I find Ritsuka together instead.

Both; "Show us the way. What once was lost, must now be found." By using our powers together to get a stronger connection, Lindo and I summoned a magic circle to help pinpoint Ritsuka's location. And we finally found her.

Ritsuka's pov;

Even though I understand what's happening, I still want answers to my questions. In breaking my window with a crowbar because of the lock on the outside, I secretly went out of the house and towards the school to talk to Rem and get some answers from him.

However, finally, after arriving at the school and speaking to him, I didn't even come close to getting myself the answers I needed. Let alone asking questions about this vampire and devil business.

And so, I decided on another time for me to get my answers, and return home.

Even so, it turned out that Rem wanted to speak with me again. And yet, something was oddly different about him. For one thing, he was smiling. But what I didn't know, was that this was not the Rem that I know, or that it was a trap.

Lindo & Mina; "RITSUKA!!"

Hearing my brother and Mina calling my name, I knew that I needed to hurry and get out of here. However, I was surrounded by men who looked exactly like Rem with a smile of joy and yet a creepy laugh.

"Someone, HELP ME!" I guess that when they heard me scream was when Mina and Lindo came to know where I am and help me.

Mina; Back off creeps!"

Lindo; "Are you okay?!"

"I'm fine."

Mina; "Are you sure though? They didn't hurt you right?!"

"Mina, I'm sure. Promise."

Mina; "Lindo, it seems that a little mutt is responsible is this." Mina whispered something to Lindo, but I couldn't hear what she said.

Lindo; "Girls watch out!"

"Lindo, please. Stop this!"

Mina; "What do you think you're doing?!"

And before Mina and I even knew it, Lindo was taking all the damage away from us and onto him. I want this to stop. Please make it stop!

Both; "RITSUKA!"

Lindo; "I've had it with this nice guy act. By thy sacred name, obey my command. Those hidden within the shadows, I renounce you. BEGONE!"

After that, a bright light flashed through everything. And the people who looked like Rem were transformed back into normal students. And that's when the real Rem appeared asking what was going on.

Lindo; "Stay away from my sister!"

Mina; "Lindo stop. It wasn't him that did this. You should punish that dog of yours for acting out."
