AN: Just so you guys know, I did put one of my favorite players on the Dallas stars even though he doesn't play for them

Jordan and Ryan were on their way to the draft. It was a human day in St Paul and she was sweating her butt off in the back of the stuffy taxi. She and Ryan were both in their dress clothes and were miserable. Jordan couldn't wait until they got into the cool air at the Xcel Energy Center.

Jordan was wearing a knee length black dress that was flare to her waist, and Ryan is wearing khakis and a navy blue sport coat with a white shirt underneath. They walked up to the check-in table and the guy at the table asked,

"So, are you someone's girlfriend or what?" Jordan replied with;

"I'm Jordan Beckett of the Iowa Wild and I was invited to this event."

"Oh, I'm so sorry man, I didn't know." He said frantically.

"No problem, I would like to check in now." She said.

She didn't Ryan walked into the bowl of the arena and looked around. The ice was made up of a small stage to the left and tables and chairs in the rest of the surface area. They found their seats at a table close to the back of the Arena. They got there early so not too many people were there yet they were sitting at a table with a redhead and two older people. The redhead seemed like he was around Jordan's age.

After about 20 minutes, the job started. Jordan was dying of boredom. No team had picked her yet and she was starting to get anxious. Both teams that she wanted to be on, Minnesota and Pittsburgh, had already picked. At least she was guaranteed a spot on one team. She just hoped that it wasn't going to be New Jersey. She saw their stats from the past year and they didn't do too well from her Point of view.

There will only 10 teams out of 31 teams left to pick. The Dallas Stars owner went up to the stage and announce the First pick. They picked Dougie Hamilton. The guy from our table got up and walked the stage to receive his jersey and a Team hat. He shook hands with the owner and the coach then went backstage to sign all the papers that came with playing in the NHL.

The owner then moved on to the second pick he announced;

"And for our second pick, it is Jordan Beckett from the Iowa of wild." Jordan felt dizzy.

"No way!" She thought to herself. Dallas is where her Idol, Ben Bishop, played.

She felt herself get up from the chair, and Ryan got up and hugged her. She walked up to the stage. I felt like everyone was judging her. No woman has ever been drafted to an NHL team. She got up to the stage and looked at the massive people that resided in the arena. She took the owner's hand and the coaches hand. Jordan pulled the victory green jersey over her dress and stuck the hat with Stars logo on top of her head.

An assistant went out to the stage to bring her backstage. She was brought to sign mountains of papers. Then she was brought to the media corner where there were many other players being interviewed. She was tied in front of a board where people then mauled her with questions. When interviewer asked her if she was nervous to be the only woman on Team. He replied with,

"I feel confident in my ability that I can keep up with the others." Another person asked her if she would make it past the preseason.

"I feel that I can make it past the preseason and onto the regular season." She was been tugged off to the lobby to see Ryan and the rest of her family.
