"Can you just get over yourself and talk to me for once, Auston?" Riley asked, yelling in his face.

"What the fuck do you mean get over yourself? You're the one who started this entire thing!" He yelled back, not meaning to but he was still towering over her.

"You're the one who was flirting with someone else!"

"What about what I was saying was flirting, please explain this to me." Auston yelled.

"You called her beautiful, you wouldn't stop smirking with little one-liners, you grabbed her wrist and looked at the bracelet she had on, you poked her in the sides multiple times, just the way you were talking. It was all how u were towards me right before we started dating."

"You're so god damn insecure about everything, I think you're the one who needs to get over themselves." Auston retaliated. Riley waited a moment before replying, taking a deep breath.

"I'm insecure because I'm so fucking scared of losing you. Everyone seems to be better than me in every way and I don't want to lose you, that's so fucking terrifying to me because I can't see my life in the future without you after I've had you in my life. It's fucking crazy to me that someone like you could love me. So yes, I'm fucking insecure because I know I'm not good enough but I hope to God that you can see past that and just want me, so it feels like someone could want me for once in my life." Riley said, yelling at first, but in the end she was almost at a whisper, her voice close to breaking and tears now streaming down her cheeks. Auston didn't answer, he couldn't formulate the words in his brain, he could barely process what Riley had said.

"That's what I thought." She whispered quietly, going up to Auston's bedroom and grabbing her things, leaving his apartment. She walked as fast as she could down the halls and down the stairs to her Chevrolet truck, trying to drive as fast as possible without making it illegal, to the Ryerson University residence building. She parked and made her way up to her shared dorm. She lived in a three bedroom residence, sharing with two other girls, her room being the lone room

(hey y'all, here's what the room looks like so I hope you understand what I mean by the lone room - taken from the Ryerson University website)

As she walked in, her two other roommates were in the room, both in the lounge area doing homework

As she walked in, her two other roommates were in the room, both in the lounge area doing homework. The moment the door opened and she stepped in her the roommates looked at her, seeing the tear stains, and running up to her to give her a hug.

"Hun, what's wrong?" The eldest, Avery, asked, wrapping her arms around Riley. Avery was an aerospace engineer major, hoping to get a full-time job with Boeing after university.

"Auston." Riley mumbled out, breathing heavy, and crying into their arms.

"What the fuck did he do?" Brissa asked, pulled away from the two and looking dead in Riley's eyes. Brissa was in the hospitality and tourism program, of course, also at Ryerson. Brissa dragged Riley and Avery to the couches, making them both sit down. "Now spill, what happened?"

"He was flirting with this fan that came up to him, and I know I shouldn't have gotten jealous because she was just a fan but I couldn't help it. It just all seemed so familiar." Riley said, more tears streaming down her face.

Her and Auston had only been dating for about 5 months. This was their first real fight, they've had small little spats, but nothing like this. She felt genuinely hurt this time.

"What a fucking bitch, he doesn't deserve you." Brissa said, standing up. "I'm literally gonna kill him." She said, grabbing her jacket and shoes. Neither of Avery or Riley tried to stop her. Brissa opened the door and was met with Auston about to knock.

"And speaking of..." Brissa lead on, waiting for someone else to say something. Avery and Riley looked over to see what it was, and seeing Auston standing there, with red puffy eyes, and tear stained cheeks.

"What the fuck do you want?" Avery asked, standing up and walking over to the front door, blocking Riley from the view.

"Can I please just talk to her?" Auston asked, another tear slipping down his cheek.

"Why? Do you really think she wants to hear from you?" Brissa asked, crossing her arms in front of her chest. Auston let out a deep, shaky breath.

"No, I don't, but I really hope she does." He said softly. The two girls turned around and looked at Riley, they could clearly hear the pain in his voice. Riley gave the two a short nod of approval.

"You have 5 minutes, Matthews." Avery said, grabbing Brissa's hand and going into the hallway, closing the door behind them.

"Hey." Riley said quietly.

"Hey." Auston replied. There was a small awkward silence. "I'm sorry." Auston breathed out finally. "I didn't realize what I was doing and I'm so sorry that I hurt you. I honestly don't know what to say. You mean the world to me and I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have you anymore. And I know just saying sorry isn't gonna fix it but I just wanna try. I can't do this without you. Please just give me one more chance, let me show you how much I truly love you." There was pain in his voice, more than Riley had ever heard in anyone's before.
