CHAPTER TWO

The ride back home was lengthy. Steve and Natasha did nothing but ask questions, in which Nikki replied them all to. It was going to be a big surprise to Tony when she comes back home, but Nikki didn't mind. She just wanted to feel her dad's arms again.

When the ship landed, Nikki ignored everyone's sad faces and ran to the facility, searching for her dad. Steve and Natasha informed her that Tony was resting after he removed his arc reactor. Frantically searching for him, Nikki ran into Pepper.

"Nikki?" she had asked. The girl look towards the familiar face of Pepper. They weren't biologically related, but she felt as if she was her mom. Pepper was always there, taking care of Nikki. Whenever Tony was in a mission, she was there. When Loki attacked New York, she and Nikki were in the private jet, crying their eyes out.

"Pepper," Nikki gasped out and engulfed Pepper in a tight hug. Pepper was starting to cry. "I-I thought—" she started. Nikki stood up from the hug. "It's a ling story. Do you know where dad is?" she asked. Pepper nodded and directed Nikki towards a room.

The girl peeked into the inside of the room. Tony was awake, reading a book. There were wires attached to his body, but otherwise, he looked okay. Nikki teared up at the sight of her father. She was kept for a month, but it felt like a year before she finally saw her dad again. The girl opened the door

Tony sighed when he heard the door open. "I told you, Pepper. I don't want any more—" he stopped talking when Nikki called out for him.

The girl started tearing up when she had saw him. "Oh my god." he stated and removed the wires from him. Taking shaky steps towards his daughters direction, he engulfed her in a hug. None of them said anything, just feeling both of their presences. Words could wait until later.

"You're alive. And you're wearing your suit." Tony started to break out from the hug. Nikki nodded, starting to cry again. When Thanos had threatened to kill her father, she wanted to rip his head of right there. But now, she felt loved.

"Maybe you would want to start explaining, yeah?"

5 YEARS LATER.

Nikki shooted at several trees, laughing as she did so. Tony had helped her master her powers, since it was pretty convenient at times. Whenever they needed fire, the girl could just hold it and it would turn into fire. The girl had mastered the powers of the space stone immediately.

"Do it again! Do it again!" Morgan laughed. Nikki's eyes softened at her younger sister. Five years ago, after Tony had healed, Pepper, Him and Nikki went to live in a home that was in the woods, near a lake. Pepper got pregnant soon, and now she had a baby sister named Morgan. They had a wonderful relationship, since Morgan was what made Nikki take her mind off of Peter.

Peter was still stuck in her head. She missed him, and it felt like forever since she had last held him. But she couldn't do anything but live her new life. She couldn't get Peter back, Thanos destroyed the stones.

But no matter how hard she tried to move on, she couldn't. Peter was stuck unto her.

"Nikki?" Morgan had whispered, tugging down unto Nikki's leggings. "Why are you crying?" she asked.

Nikki paused and touched her eye. The wet feeling of the tear was met with her skin. "It's nothing." she smiled. Nikki took Morgan and started to carry her around.

"I got something in my house. Do you wanna see?" Morgan asked enthusiastically. Nikki nodded and set the Five year old girl down. The child started running to her makeshift playhouse that Nikki had helped her set up.

Tony got out of their home, searching for his two daughters. He started to clap, in which the three of them had an inside joke on. "Showtime!" he exclaimed, sitting down on the log next to Nikki. "Mogoona?"

"Coordinate Stark, do you want some lunch?" he asked, putting his shoulders around Nikki. "Define lunch, or be dwisinigated." Morgan stated, now reappearing in the suit that Tony had given Pepper. Nikki started to laugh at Tony's shocked expression when he saw that his youngest daughter had got her hands on Pepper's suit.

"You should not be wearing that, okay? That is part of a very special anniversary gift I made for mom." Tony stated and kissed the helmet she was wearing.

"Where did you get this?" he asked, removing the helmet she wore. Morgan started to fix her hair, a big smile plastered on her face. "The garage. I found it, though. With Nikki" Morgan stated, fixing her hair. "You like wondering in the garage? So does daddy." Nikki took Morgan's and started to carry her  as they started to went to go get lunch. This was one of the moments that they felt like a normal, suburban family.

"Morgan, do you know that mom never wears anything that dad buys her? You can wear that anytime." Nikki laughed, carrying her sister in her arms. She started calling them Mom and Dad, which felt great coming out of her tongue.

Tony laughed a little and held Nikki by her shoulders. They started to make their way towards their home, until Steve suddenly rolled in, getting out of a car with Natasha and the guy who hurted her during the fight with Steve.

Nikki set Morgan down. "Morgan, go tell mom to ready some coffee, alright? Tell her Uncle Steve is here." she instructed.

Nikki and Tony started to walk towards the trio that was in-front of them. Tony had excused himself to get some coffee for the unannounced visitors.

"Hey," Nikki smiled and hugged Natasha first, then Steve. It had been so long she had last seen them, and she missed them very much.

"You look beautiful." Natasha stated, eyeing her up and down. Nikki started to laugh. "What can I say? I'm an adult now."

Nikki directed her gaze to the other man. "I remember you... tictac?" she asked. Scott nodded. "I'm Scott Lang, and I am sorry for trying to kill you a few years ago." he stated, looking down.

Tony came to the scene holding a few cups of coffee. "Sit please." he instructed. "Now, what are you here for?"
