After my first number, all of my nerves went away. The stage was where I was meant to be, dancing, performing. I loved to hear everyone cheer and clap after a number. When I finished my last dance of the night, I got off the stage and headed to the back. Everyone was so excited that it was a huge success. As we all hugged each other, Joselyn came over to the group and smiled.
"Congratulations, I'm so proud of all of you" she said.
"Well we couldn't have done it without you" Cherry said.
"I think we should all make a toast" Paris said as a waiter came around with trays of champagne glasses. We all took one and held it up to make a toast.
"To our brilliant choreographer. There's no way we could have ever gotten this far without you. We love you, Joselyn" I said.
"To Joselyn!" one of the dancers said.
"To Joselyn!" We all said.
We drank from the champagne glasses and then someone came over to me and tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around and smiled. "Yea?" I asked
"Someone left a gift for you, it's by your mirror" the person said.
"A gift? For me?" I was shocked. Who could've sent me a gift?
"Let's go check" Paris said as we walked over to my makeup table. I took off my wig and let down my long dark wavy hair. On the chair was a beautiful bouquet of white roses. I loved them, they were beautiful. I was dying to know who sent them. As I picked up the card, the room became quiet. I opened it and read the name on it.
"Ryan" I said. All of a sudden, I heard someone behind me. I turned around and I was speechless. It was the gorgeous man who I had bumped into in the lobby. His grey eyes were staring right at me and I couldn't begin to utter a word. My heart started beating faster and I put the card down on the table. I didn't know what to say.
"Hello, Anastasia" he said. I didn't know he knew my name. I was so confused.
"Do we know each other?" I asked
"You ran into me in the lobby"
"So you send me flowers?"
I didn't mean to sound sarcastic, but why would he be sending me flowers for no reason. He didn't even know me.
"I know you from somewhere. I can't quite put my finger on it" then he came closer to me, to the point where there was only an inch between us. "What's your last name?" he asked. I could smell his cologne. His scent was recorded in memories.
"Taylor" I said.
"Are you related to Jason Taylor?" he asked.
"He's my father"
Then he smiled and raised an eyebrow. He could tell by my tone of voice that I didn't want him to recognize me by my father. He changed the subject.
"I saw you dancing" he said as I looked up at him.
"I figured"
"You know if you were my girl, I would punish you for dancing the way you did in front of all those people" he said.
My heart started beating faster. He was confusing me even more, I had no idea what he was talking about. But I liked the way he talked to me. It made me want to undress for him right then and there.
"There's nothing wrong with showing off a little skin" I said.
"What if I told you that I want you to dance like that for me, and only me. No one else" then I smiled.
