My name is Alec Ligtwood, I'm 21 years old. I live in New York with my family but after summers over I'm going to start studying law and economics at the Idris university of law and economics. It was a one hour drive from where I was living now.
After High school I took a year off to get a job and money to pay my study's, my mom waned to pay but she has so much on her plate already, and this way I could get a head start and begin reading about the law in my free time. 'If you keep reading so much you won't have anything to learn what you get there.' Izzy was always worrying for the worst reasons. Repeating things has never been a bad thing has it?

"Ok, I'm leaving now!" I took my last bag out to my car. "Hey, where do you think you're going?" Izzy and Jace looked at me. "Three go in three go out." I rolled my eyes. "You know it's only one hour away. Not like I'm moving to California."
They didn't care and got in the car. I didn't know anyone so I was a little bit nervous. What if nobody likes me or talk to me? What if someone find out I'm gay? What if I get behind everyone. "You will be fine Alec." Izzy could always read my mind.

I got a one man dorm, I wasn't risking having a bad roommate for the next year. The room was not small it had a bathroom, a queen sized bed and a desk. Izzy and Jace took the buss home after we where finished packing out. First day was tomorrow.

I woke up extra early. I took a shower, brushed my teeth and put on a black T and som denim jeans. I sat down in my bed and realised that it was half an hour until classes began.
The classroom was almost empty. I sat down and quickly got lost in thoughts and didn't realise that people was starting to come in. "Hey, Alexander didn't expect to se you here" I turned around. Magnus? Was it really him? Magnus fucking Bane was studying HERE!! "Hey." What a stupid reply. He just smiled and sat down besides me. "Why are you here?" He raised his eyebrow. "Well I was planning on studying." I smiled. "Of corse, what a stupid question, but it's just you didn't seem like a lawyer kind a guy." He nodded in agreement. "Well you don't know me...yet" He smiled friendly. "Yeah" After that the teacher started talking. I tried to focus but it was hard when Magnus was sitting beside me all shining and shit. He was not as extra as in the club but he definitely had some bling. The eyeliner was toned down and his hair had no stripes. But it was spiked and quiet fabulous. His outfit was a black and glittery T with black ripped skinny jeans. His eyes was as golden as ever thought I tried not to stare at them.

"Ok, if you want to be in a study group please write your name on the list and we will give you your group at the end of the day." Magnus looked at me. I wasn't planning on signing up I always worked best alone, but when the class was finished I still found myself standing behind Magnus in line. He turned around and gave me the pen, and before I knew it I had written my name down.

"So what is your next class?" He looked hopeful. "My next is economy but that's not before like two hours" he smiled brightly. "Look like we have a similar schedule, cuz I have the same," We where walking down the hallway. " what do you say we use our time to get to know each other?" I was planning on studying, but I knew I was ahead of everyone and I wasn't going to mess up the only possibility I had to make a friend. "Sure" We walked to an outdoor part of the cafeteria and sat down at a beach. " So Alexander, what are YOU doing here?" I rolled my eyes. "Im studying law, what a stupid question." I said ironically. He smiled, oh my that beautiful, beautiful smile. But we were only friends and that was how I wanted it to be. Love would only be a distraction. And from what Izzy told me he had slept with everyone that was up for it and hadn't been in a stable relationship in years. I guess that's what happens when you own a night club. "Ok, I as an intelligent person that would never ask a stupid question like that have a better one for you, why did you choose to study here and why law?" It looked like he was thinking of an answer so I waited. "I have always admired the law and I hate when people beak it so way not become an expert, and it was close to home." I laughed. "You own a night club how many people do you think come there every day that is underaged, and you party all the time so I don't see how you could possibly not drink, you have lived here for three years and you came here right after High school and if I'm not wrong you're 19 when you finish high school and you have owned Pendemonium since you moved her, so I would be really impressed if you never drank while you were underage ." He had this look on his face, like he new something I didn't. "Well, I can see someone has been stalking me" he tried to not laugh but he couldn't. I turned bright red, I didn't release that I said all that. " No..n-no I, my sister has a crush on you and have been telling me things about you and..and I..yeah." I managed to stutter. I was still blushing, way to go on that first impression Alec " And though the things you're saying is mostly correct I have in fact never broken the law," he gave me a proud smile. I looked sceptical at him."let me explain, when I was 11 I moved from Indonesia to Spain, and since I didn't know the language I had to go one year behind than wan I was 15 I moved to London and did the same, so when I finished high school I was 21 years old. So I moved to New York and I was of age to drink and do whatever the fuck I waned to." I was socked. I had just told him that he broke the law and laughed when he told me something about him and he answered me with a genuine smile on his face. " Sorry about accusing you of-", " Alexander it's fine. I actually enjoyed you thinking you had a single clue of what my life is" I gasped jokingly offended. "But something I still don't understand why the night club if you're into law and stuff ?" He chuckled. "That my friend is a good question," he pointed at me, " Well it started in London actually, the owner of one of these club's hit me up when he heard I was going to NY so he gave in a good word and I fast became the boss of the whole thing. And I like to party, now there where finally someone that was good enough to replace me so I decided to finally start studying." I was amazed. He talked with this firmness and comfort. And I just knew I could trust him.
And I actually could see myself becoming friends with him.
