Chapter 7 Dueling and a Small Problem

Zerk nearly fell out of his seat when they charged. How can Mr. Pery do this setting children to fight each other I mean it's outrageous and to top it all off he was hosting wagers. Don't get Zerk wrong he still betted on his friend and cheered but that was beside the point. Before Mr. Pery had blown the whistle he asked for wagers, it was simple double or nothing Zerk placed ten bucks on Seath and now he could only hope he got twenty back.

They charged that small creepy girl moved like the wind. She hardly made a sound and was fast. As she approached Zerk saw Seath pick up a stone and throw it at her. That was weird it hit her hard but not enough to win the most she did was wince. They got closer and were now at arms length from each other. Zerk was now chewing his nails and saw Jean doing the same so he stopped. She got closer and then Seath lunged pushing her but instead of falling back she flew back. Their was light were he touched her and Zerk knew he zapped her because it had happened to him before. She lay for about ten seconds then got up.

"How the heck do you win this because I see no end right now?" asked Zerk.

"Well the other either forfeits or is knocked out or just can't continue." Peakle replied. Zerk turned back to see the strange girl had grabbed Seaths arm and that same look of horror came across his face. He screamed and screamed but she held on then all of a sudden she was blown back. Seath ran to the nearest lamppost and taunted her to follow him. Knowing Seaths abilities Zerk knew exactly what was going to happen but she didn't. She obviously sensed something because she approached slowly. Just as she stood next to the lamppost Seath snapped his fingers and it blew up.

The strange girl soared about ten feet then hit the floor. She wasn't moving everyone thought she was dead but Mr. Pery casually strolled over to her placed his hand on her heart. She sat up, but Mr. Pery was already holding Seaths arm up declaring victory. Aparrently losing wasn't part of the strange girls schedual because she screamed in frustration and threw a stone. She then stormed away, Mr. Peru shook his head and walked over to the bleachers.

"Ok I know what your all going to ask how did I know she was alive and you could heal? Well here's how I can see about five minutes into the future. I could also heal if I saw her dead in the five minutes in the future I would've stopped the match but I knew she was going to live so no big deal. Alright next up Peakle and Drake." declared Mr. Pery.

Everyone obviously had nothing to say because it was quiet as the made it to the opposite ends of the field. Mr. Pery asked for wagers and Zerk betted ten of his now twenty bucks. When everyone was ready Mr. Pery blew his whistle and Peakle and Drake charged each other.

Firestar was cheering himself not that anyone but the other dragons and Zerk could hear. Zerk saw Peakle grow bigger as Drake turned into a cheetah and pounced flying through the air. Peakle smacked him with his enormous hand that cheetah would've really flown if it didn't turn into a bird and fly just right back. Peakle obviously mad tried to catch it but it was like a fly hard to catch.

It flew over Peakles head and turned into a blue whale which fell with huge force. Peakle was being crushed but he managed to get a hold of Drake and pushed him off. But once again before Drake could fall he turned into a bird. Which flew right at Peakles chest full speed and right before it collided it turned into a giant lion. The same kind of lion as that statue they saw in the maze. Peakle fell from the weight the lion dug its claws into him and sliced him. Peakle pushed and pushed and finally got him off but not before serious damage. The lion pounced again but he shrunk and Drake missed Peakle grew again and kicked it right in the ass. It went face first into the floor.

Drake shrunk into a bird again and flew at Peakles face. Peakle covered it but instead of growing into a huge beast he flew up Peakles nose. Before anything else could happen a whistle blew indicating the end of the game.

"It's over Drake wins Peakle looses," due to a lot of boos he then continued,"because I saw that trouble maker going into his head growing into a giant lion and breaking open his skull from the inside." That shut everyone up I mean no one wants him to actually die.

"Alright next up Jean vs Kila. Any wagers?" Mr. Pery asked. Though even through Firestars objections he betted his other ten bucks.

"I'm sorry I made you lose ten dollars I'm so dumb I should've seen it coming." Peakle said.

"No it's not it could've happened to anyone but you could always wager ten dollars on me with my money and pay me the money since I can't wager on myself. That is if Jean wins this match because if not I'm broke." was Zerks reply. The whistle sounded and he wasn't even paying attention he looked back and saw her sprinting full speed (which is about thirty miles per hour) at Kila. To Zerks great surprise she yawned stretched and waited as if bored. Then Jean was there but Kila easily dodged her punch.

Then her nails grew into claws and she sliced Jean in the back. Kila moved like a cat dodging punches and replying with a cut but Jean was smart she picked up Kila's moves. The next time she threw a punch and Kila dodged she turned swiftly and kicked out. Jean's foot landed on Kila's chest causing Kila to be sent back ten feet into a nearby tree. Kila got up and landed on all fours and she ran like a cat. When Kila was close enough Jean jumped at her knee pointed out the distance closed easily and the knee collided with Kila's face knocking her back.

Kila was out cold but Zerk got the feeling that wasn't all she could do and Firestar thought so too. As Mr. Pery told her she lost, after healing her, she freaked out like the strange girl. But instead of storming away she sprinted like a cat. "Is she even human because she seems more like a cat." asked Peakle.

Zerk looked at him strangely and said,"I honestly don't know, I don't know."

Zerk gave Peakle ten dollars to wager on him for him and congratulated Jean. He then said bye to Firestar and walked down the stairs of the bleachers and to the end of the field. He turned and faced Dramen waiting for the whistle he was going to beat this guy because of the day before. The whistle sounded and he sprinted Dramen waited like Kila did. He could hear his friends cheering for him. He was now seeing Dramen forming around him magma.

"Can't burn me now can you?" asked Dramen.

"Maybe not but I can put you out." Zerk raised his hands and water came out. As powerful as fire hoses they hit him making him fly back. Zerk did something that made him scared and really happy. He flew well not actually he used the wind to carry him at a fast speed into the air. He the flew back at Dramen who turned into water. Alright Zerk thought let's evaporate him. Moving at full speed he sent a huge amount of wind at him knocking him to the floor then a burst of fire.

Dramen screamed in agony and then screamed,"I give up, I give up stop.". Zerk stopped sending fire at him and landed. But before he could run to his friends a full grown dragon landed on the grass and roared. It had its wings up hiding its rider it slowly moved its wings revealing a man with a gun. And sitting on it as the rider wearing his uniform proudly was a southern general. He pointed the gun at Zerk and fired.
