I had packed some yoga pants and a simple t-shirt this morning for the work out session I was going on with Colly. Waiting by the school entrance, I roll my eyes at Max stubbornly remaining by my side.
"No, I don't know who the guys are. But it's Colly. What could go wrong with that guy?"
"I don't approve of you wearing that."
I glanced down incredulously at my full length exercise pants and shirt. "There's literally nothing wrong with it!"
"Still." Max just frowns at my refusal to listen, knowing that he's lost this argument but not his position as the eldest.
"Luna! You ready?" Colton appears from the hallway, greeting Max before looking at me.
"Yep." I smiled at his shorts and v neck. "It's fine, Max. There'll be other people there working out too, you know?" Sending him a reassuring smile, I wondered why I bothered to tell him I was going with a bunch of guys.
He groans, reminding me to call him and whatever else it was I needed to do. I just nodded, following Colton to his car.
"That man is a keeper. Too bad Jayden got there before I did."
I slapped my best friend's arm, laughing. "What is with the obsession with my brother?"
"He is charming. Although, I have to admit. I have a weak spot for the softer ones." Colly flashes me a mischievous grin. I just shake my head lightly, returning a giggle.
Honestly, I don't understand how people could identify what it was they wanted so damn easily.
We enter the gym, the scent of sweat filling my nose. I didn't realise it would so busy. When I said there would surely be other people, I didn't anticipate this many.
Colly leads me to a two built up guys. I notice a light blush dusting his cheeks when he catches the eye of one of them. I bite my lip to resist a smile.
"Hey, this is Luna. You're all fine with her joining, aren't you?" He turns to address me. "That's Jake." Blond. "Kian." Brown hair
They nod at him in response.
I glance at them nervously. It was sort of intimidating to be in the presence of three obviously physically strong, young men. "Hello." I smile. "Luna, in case your ears weren't working."
My attempt at the joke seems to make them laugh out of politeness. A blond had stopped the treadmill to send me a welcoming wave. I returned the gesture and watched him resume his exercise.
A light brown haired guy was lifting weights further towards the corner, just sending me a careless wink. I raised a brow, not at all impressed.
Then I remember Colly telling me there was going to be three of his friends. I turn to him, clearly confused.
He just looks past me, walking over to greet an Asian who was silent the entire time. He was engrossed on the rowing machine, face deep in determination. I couldn't help but notice that he was undeniably handsome. He didn't quite have the intensity of Javis, but definitely the hard edge. My gaze flickered to his straining muscles.
Shit.
Finally looking up, I shyly wave as he meets my eye. He just ignores me, continuing on.
Ok. Rudeness box, ticked.
After nodding at Colton's 'you're okay?' stare, I set off to begin my own workout. Feeling a bit lost, I scanned the room filled with activity. Everyone seems to know exactly what they're doing.
