It was now lunch time and people from homeroom were still trying to wrap their heads around how Sam was able to solve the case of the missing phone within minutes. When she got her food and sat down with her friends she was met with odd looks.

"What?" She asked before Jude spoke up saying, "How the hell did you do that?" "Do what?"

"How the hell did you find that phone so fast?" Tyler asked before she said, "Look, me finding that phone was a fluke. I just needed to get my narcolepsy pills and since I couldn't trust anyone in class not to take them from my desk, I had to hide them. You know the story, come on." Sam told them before Ruby had a look of sadness in her eyes. "What's wrong, Ru?

"I can't believe you don't trust me. How can we be best friends if you don't trust me?" Ruby asked in an uncharacteristically dull mood before Sam said, "Ruby, I do trust you but sometimes you're just easy."

"What?"

"What she means to say is that you let people walk over you too easily." Jude bluntly explained to Ruby which earned hard stares from everyone at the table. "Hey, I say that in confidence. I'm not trying to put you down."

"Dude, you really need to work more on your social skills." Parker told the wallflower who just said, "If I were to sugarcoat the things I say every time, this world would be too soft." Jude started. "Ruby, you're a kind and sweet girl but you need to toughen up if you're gonna make it in the real world."

"Okay." Ruby said trying to maintain her positive attitude. "Ya know, Sam's been really good at finding stuff lately." Parker started before Sam interjected saying, "Hey, since when am I the conversation topic? Why don't we all drop it?"

"You see, that attitude of yours right there is what's causing us to wonder even more." Eve spoke up which made them all stare at her before staring at Sam.

"Are you hiding something? And if so, what are you hiding?" Tyler asked before Sam lost her cool and yelled, "Nothing! Now shut the fuck up and leave me alone!!" The girl then slammed her tray on the table and stormed out of the cafeteria.

"I'll go talk to her." Ruby said before she got up and chased after Sam. "I'm going back to my room, I'll see you guys in art class." Jude said before he got up and left his empty tray by table.

"Sammy?" Ruby called out as she kept walking around in the hallway. "Sammy!!" She called out again before she heard the sounds of a guitar being played in the next room. She slowly peered her way into the room to find Sam playing the bass guitar while singing.

I wanna hold 'em like they do in Texas, please
Fold 'em, let 'em, hit me, raise it, baby, stay with me (I love it)
Love game intuition play the cards with Spades to start
And after he's been hooked I'll play the one that's on his heart

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-e-oh-oh-oh
I'll get him hot, show him what I've got
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-e-oh-oh-oh,
I'll get him hot, show him what I've got

[Chorus:]
Can't read my,
Can't read my
No he can't read my poker face

I wanna roll with him a hard pair we will be
A little gambling is fun when you're with me (I love it)
Russian Roulette is not the same without a gun
And baby when it's love if it's not rough it isn't fun, fun

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-e-oh-oh-oh
I'll get him hot, show him what I've got
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-e-oh-oh-oh,

Kiss or hug you
Cause I'm bluffin' with my muffin
I'm not lying, I'm just stunnin' with my love-glue-gunning
Just like a chick in the casino
Take your bank before I pay you out
I promise this, promise this
Check this hand cause I'm marvelous

[Chorus 3x]

[3x]
P-p-p-poker face, p-p-poker face
(Mum mum mum mah)
P-p-p-poker face, p-p-poker face

"Sammy?" Ruby spoke up which made Sam look at her with a panicked face. "How long were you standing there?"

"As soon as the song started. You've got an amazing voice by the way... is that your song?" She asked before Sam looked away saying, "No. That was Poker Face by Lady Gaga."

"Who?" "My parents and grandparents got me listening to their music and I got addicted to it so I started memorizing songs. Poker Face is actually my favorite." Sam said before Ruby walked up to her.

"Do you mind singing some more?" The jovial girl asked before Sam said, "Only if you'd like."

"I'd love that."

"So, Jude, care to show us what you did? You can't slip past us for so long." Ms. Summers asked before he smiled and turned his canvas around. Everyone in class gasped at what Jude showed them.

"Is that Sam?" A random student asked. "Yeah, as a cop?" Another asked.

"We're talking about the same girl who came from juvie right?" "Woah, this painting is really ironic."

"Didn't figure Sam would look good as a pig."

Jude smiled at what he heard.

"So, Sam? What do you wanna do?" Ruby asked before Sam sighed. She looked at her jovial friend before saying, "Well, as a kid I always wanted to become a detective."

"A detective? Isn't that ironic given your history?"

"Yeah, I'm one ironic bitch." "Well, I wish you luck on your future." Ruby said as she snuggled into her friend. Normally Sam would push her off but she just smiled and held the happy girl tightly. "Yep, I really am one ironic bitch."
