Chapter 11: Chewing Gum

"Remind me why we're scraping gum off from under every table in the academy?" Parker asks as he struggles with scraping a dried up wad of chewing gum from under a table in the cafeteria. Jude whom is seen doing the same thing sighs and says, "Because of our stunt at the mall. Had that Uber arrived on time we would have been safe but we weren't. We got our asses kicked and to make things worse, we got caught by mall security and we got banned from the mall for a month along with the fact that we were made out as students. Any of this ringing any bells?"

Parker stares at Jude, confused, until he tilts his head, causing the latter groan in annoyance. "Parker, we were made out as students of this academy. Our incident at the mall essentially painted us as a couple of delinquents who tarnished the reputation of the school. This was something that hadn't been pulled off since when my mom was still a teenager."

"Okay, so some asshole in the food court starts some shit with us, we stand up for ourselves and we get punished? That's total bee-ess." Parker huffs as he continues on with his punishment. "We didn't help the situation with how we responded and with how we kept escalating it, though, looking back on it, I guess we could have handled that a bit more better."

"Sucks we won't be able to go to the mall for another month. I was so looking forward to meeting so many beautiful ladies there, milf's included." Parker says, dropping his scraper and spins around comically before Jude throws an empty carton of milk at his classmate. "Dude, what the hell?" Parker asks as he glares at Jude who returns the glare with a more vicious one. "You think your simping ass has it bad? I got a job that I'm most likely gonna lose now since the place I work at IS AT THE MALL!!!"

The two were ready to fight until a third voice spoke to them, mockingly. "My my, I didn't think you'd fall this low, Judy..." Jude cringes at the name and turns his head slowly to see the one person he had no desire to see, Phoebe. "As if my day wasn't made any worse, the mighty Phoebe arrives to ruin it more with her bitchy attitude." Jude says with a dry tone as he looks at the albino.

"Well, I'm not the knob who botched up something simple that was rehearsed for weeks only to make a mockery of everyone on stage, or perhaps I'm a stupid little cunt who gets into fights at malls." Phoebe says with venom in her voice. The last remark causes both Jude and Parker to look at her in shock before Parker asks, "How'd you even find out about that?"

The albino smirks and says, "Word travels fast in the dorms, and Judy... Don't think things are going to be okay for you. This is the beginning of your suffering while we're both attending this academy." Jude simply continues to glare at Phoebe before noticing that she is chewing on something. "By the way sweetie, you missed one." She then takes out a wad of chewing gum that was in her mouth and sticks it under the table she is standing next to before turning around to leave.

"I hate her so much..." Jude says to himself as he watches her walk out of the cafeteria. "If I knew she'd be a student here I'd ask mom to sign me up for another school."

"So, that just happened... Dammit... The others aren't gonna let us live this down for a while." Parker sighs before Jude goes on to clean up Phoebe's mess before continuing with his punishment. "I blame you for all of this." Jude tells Parker as he goes on to scrape the chewing gum from under the table.

Jude and Parker returns to the common room later at night only to find Paige looking at the two with disappointment. The other students looked in curiosity which would then be stifled by the fear of getting in trouble themselves. Jude was already tired of everything that had transpired and Parker would have been cowering in fear if not for his current exhaustion.

"You two... Are by far two of the worst wild cards I've had to watch over. I was given a list of students I needed to keep an eye on at the start of the school year, and you two are on that list. I let you go somewhere unsupervised and you decide to get into fights at the mall while disrupting the peace. I hoped I wouldn't have to do this, but since your initial punishment is over, I'm placing you both of a one month house arrest. You are only allowed to leave the dorms for class only," Paige tells the two. Parker sighs in relief that he is not expelled, but Jude looks indifferent. "You're lucky I didn't have you both suspended or expelled. Long story short, as further point of your punishment, once your house arrest ends, you're both forbidden from leaving the campus.

"What?!" Both boys yell in disbelief, Jude more so than Parker. "That's unfair!" Parker exclaims his and Jude's opinion on their punishment. Paige simply shakes her head and says, "Break any of these rules and we'll call your parents in for a disciplinary hearing which will determine whether you'll be expelled or not." She then leaves the student dorms and the two watches in utter disbelief at what had just transpired. They stay quiet and move on to their respective dorm rooms.
