While in the car, rolling down the city.
"Now. We'll buy some fancy clothes , the ones like these freaks are wearing all around" Dean pointed to the group of hippies walking down the street, "and in the evening we'll go see *inhales* LED Zeppelin ... and then...we'll go backstage" Dean was now planning how he was going to act while seeing the great four, his lifetime idols. Was he going to freak out? Scream and go hug each of them? No,no no. That is a reasonable act for the ladies. But he, a grown up man, how can he ...Oh! ...The ladies. Didn't think about them, now did he. He would be the luckiest son of a bitch if he managed to share with a hot groupie before going back.
Thoughts like these were rushing through Dean's excited mind the more he was thinking about the night. They were interrupted by Sam's curt words.
"Dean! We..We can't go backstage. I..uh..didn't buy backstage tickets."
"Oh Sammy, come on. We can go backstage without that stuff. We are in the freaking seventies, remember? Besides, you're not the kind of person to think about locked doors as a problem."
"Dude, its not just a locked door. There are bodyguards, and we definitely don't want to get into trouble, not just here and now. "
"Hey. Just don't worry about that. Enjoy the ride."
"Uh, yeah, whatever."
The streets were full of colorfully dressed people, long haired, happy, hanging around in small or big groups, drinking . And old men, sitting in front of their shops, reading newspapers on the sunny spring day. Little boys running around, being silly, mimicking the police officers. And road signs that showed the way to Earls Court Arena on that very special day. There were posters on the sidewalks: Led Zeppelin Concert, Mel Bush in association with Peter Grant, doors open 6 p.m. , Zeppelin booking offices, Zeppelin express, SOLD OUT. Huge red buses and chevettes on the streets.
"Man... this" Dean finally spoke out after the long, relaxing silence. He was looking around, Impala's windows open, wind blowing at his face. The whole moment felt too unreal and wonderful.
"Yeah, I know" Sam paused. "But one thing. I hope you gave up the idea of dressing up like them, you know, hippies, floral shirts, flares, flowers in hair, sandals-
"Hey, hey, ok whatever" Dean interrupted as he felt Sammy getting all nervous again . "Chill"
"Yeah, but , I just thought we would look very stupid in those. "
"Whatever, Sammy" chuckled Dean.
Meanwhile, on the radio.
And that was Sex Pistols playing for you. Those lads are pretty tricky, eh?
Now. The day is Thursday, the weather is sunny and everything is the top of the cherry. I hope you all have your Zeppelin tickets in your little pockets, waiting for the greatest night of yer lives. Remember: 6 p.m. Earls Court Arena..
Dean smiled a mistery smile and looked at Sammy all grateful. Of course this was going to be the best night.
