Chapter Three: Four Years Later

Adri has never forgotten young Sarah Lee. Not a single day passed without her in thought.

It's been four years since they've spoken. Adri watches Sarah walk to the corner of the street to be picked up by the school bus. They wave to each other every once in a while.

Not once has the girl summoned her. Not until now.

It was the dead of night. Twenty two minutes after midnight, Adri awoke. Red and black eyes peered into the darkness and a demon stepped from the bed to a mirror on the wall.

"Who summons me?" She spoke into the glass. It showed a now nineteen year old Sarah Lee being dragged from her bed by someone Adri recognized as her father. The man grabbed her by the hair and then began to tear her clothes off.

"This should teach you to talk back to me in MY house!" He yelled into her face as she screamed and cried.

Adri had seen enough. Within seconds, she was in the same room they were in. She appeared as a black shadow at first. Then the red of her eyes showed themselves. Sarah looked up in horror from behind her hands.

Her father turned to see an angry demon inches from his face. Horror took over his body as well, and he froze.

"Who the fuck are you? And why are you in my house?" He tried to hide the fear. His voice cracked and the shredded clothing shook in his hand.
"I-i'll call the police!" Reassurance couldn't be found for him.

"And what would the police do with a demon that could kill them in seconds?" Adri's voice was hollow and deep, like metal scraping on metal. Her eyes flickered and the man was reaching for the rosary around his neck.

"The p-power of J-Jesus Christ c-c-compel-" Adri cut him off by grabbing the rosary and pressing it to his throat between her hand. She lifted him, watching the fear rise into his mind as he realized he may die.

"Your sins will be punished. You, will," she paused and brought him to meet her eyes, inches away, then whispered, "suffer." She dropped him, a cross shaped indent left on his neck surrounded by a black handprint. He convulsed on the ground for several seconds before Sarah's mother burst into the room and saw Adri looming over him. She screamed and ran out of the room.

"We have to get you out of here." Adri turned to Sarah, who was shaking from the cold and fear. Adri took the naked girl into her arms and disappeared into the night. Sarah's mother walked ito the door of the room with the police.

"She's in here!" The door burst open. She was shocked to see the room was empty of everyone accept her husband, whom the police tended to.
"Ma'am, are you sure you saw what you think you did?" An older policeman said to her.
"She was right here! She tried to kill John and took my daughter!" Kim was frantic and angry.

"We have a missing person and attempted murder. Suspect may be within five miles of the scene, send additional dispatch immediately." The officer said into his radio.

"What could have done this?" Another officer asked the older one.

"I know exactly what." The heavy Russian accent cut through the dark. "You will need my help to find it." A scarred face appeared into the room.

"Who are you?" The younger officer asked.

The scarred man smiled and said "I am Eric Stratsky."

The officers looked at him with awe.
"But, if you're here..." The officer trailed off.

"You have a demon on your hands." Eric looked at the now comatose man on the floor.
"And I know exactly who it is."
