Adri slammed herself into the door of the house. It splintered and flew to the back of the dining room and along the walls near it. Her feet burned holes into the floor she walked on. The couple ran out of the room across from Sarah's.
"What in the hell was that?!" Sarah's mother said.
Adri was suddenly in front of her, gripping her throat and holding her in the air."You have wronged me. And you will pay for it." The layered demon voice shook both of them to their core.
With that, Adri stared directly into her eyes and stole her soul from them. She tossed the desecrated corpse to the side and went after the twisted man. He ran outside, but he didnt get far. Adri took one step and was gripping onto the top of his head. She spun him around to meet her face.
"You are the evil that walks these streets. You will pay for your wrongs, and you will suffer every second of pain you brought upon her. Feel. Her. Pain." Adri screeched as she destroyed his soul and turned his body to ash. The people in the streets started in horrified awe.
Adri sped to Sarah's side. She removed the cuffs and chains from her wrists and ankles.
"Sarah, my Little One, please. Dont let it be true." She removed the tracer from her stomach, healed the wounds, and touched her face.
"Please, please my dear. Please, open your eyes." She began to cry and pulled her into her arms. She let out heavy sobs. The girl was gone. She was too late. She sat and cried for a while, holding the corpse in her arms. She picked the girl up, tears streaming down her face but the sobs silenced. She walked into the hallway and paused, clutching the girl closer to her. She took another step. The carpet was lit with blue flames. They climbed along the walls, eventually they covered every room, accept Sarah's. The only things the flames destroyed were the bed and the clothes her stepfather forced her to wear. The rest was untouched.
The rest of the house collapsed behind Adri, her eyes glowing the same blue as the flames. The markings on her body moved about, as if they were angry. She walked into the street, everyone was still in the street and the police showed up with an ambulance. They drew their weapons.
"Stop right there!" The officers hand shook as he trained the gun on Adri.
"Drop the body!" Another officer shouted.
Adri forced the guns away from their hands. The shadows around them grabbed at them.
"Her blood is on your hands." Was all that Adri said before shooting herself into the sky and disappearing.
"Ten thirty two a.m, the estimated time of death of Mister Lee." The coroner arrived, the officers were questioning the neighbors.
"Wasnt that house on fire just a second ago?" One of the neighbors asked. Everyone turned to look at the old Lee house. The only room that remained was Sarah's. Everything in it was untouched, as if something was protecting it. The police tried to go in, but the feeling of freezing fear caused them to back away.
They tried for months to destroy it, but the room stood as if it was enchanted to stand forever. The whole neighborhood learned about what happened in that house. Adri returned one day to tell the story.
"Wait, you, you're the demon!" Courtney, the woman she'd spoken to in the park, stepped up and pointed at Adri.
"She's evil!" Everyone looked at her. She had the look of embarrassment on her face when no one sided with her."Dont you see? She's dangerous!" Adri grabbed her arm and spun her around to meet her face, her eyes glowing with rage and pain in red and blue.
"What I lost that day, was more than you will ever lose in your lifetime." Her eyes bore into Courtney's.
"You cannot turn these people against me when a tragedy has happened so bad as this. Silence yourself." A single tear rolled down her face as the let go. Courtney looked around in horror and embarrassment.
