Sarah cried in her sleep. Adri woke up and came to her side and woke her up. She held her head to her warm chest and whispered to her to calm her.

"It's okay, Little One. You're safe. You're safe." Adri stroked her hair and held her tight. Sarah clutched onto her. She cried hard.

"Could you stay with me? Please?" Sarah pleaded and sobbed.
"Of course I will." Adri held her close and lay with her. Sarah cried for hours. It was two fourty-five in the morning when she came into the room. It was four eighteen now. Sarah still cried.

"I wish I would have summoned you sooner. I would have been okay. I mean, better." Sarah said through sobs.
"Perhaps you would have, Little One, but you had no control over what they did you you. What did you do with the rose I gave to you?" Adri comforted her more. She stopped crying enough she could speak.

"My mother took it from me. It's still with her. I'm sorry."
"No matter, My Dear." Adri waved her hand and the glass rose appeared between them.
"A demons gift will always return to the one it was gifted to." She set in on the night stand. It was floating, fantasy story like. Sarah looked at it in awe.

"Thank you, Adri. Thank you for everything." Sarah nuzzled herself into Adri's shoulder. Eventually she fell asleep. Adri held her. She brushed the hair away from her eyes and kissed her forehead.

"You're welcome, Little One."

Eric searched every house on the block for Adri and Sarah Lee. Determined to find both alive. He was growing more and more impatient with each house.

"Stratsky, there's nothing here. People say to check the house on the end of the block, but it's been vacant for weeks." A young officer handed him the statements of the neighborhood.

"Tell me, officer," he took the statements and threw them to the ground and in a dark, cold tone said,"what makes you think that they would be hiding?" He grabbed the officer by the throat and picked him up to meet him at eye level. He struggled and choked, clawing at the big man's arm.

"Sir!" A Hunter approached them. Eric grunted and dropped the officer.

"Speak, Nader." Eric growled.
"We didn't find them. But we found they were here. Look." Nader pulled out a bag filled with brown hair, pulled from a brush.
"This is Sarah Lee's hair, sir."

Eric grunted in approval. "Where was this found, Hunter?"
"In the house on the end of the block, like everyone said they were hiding. We believe that maybe they fled when they heard we were in town." Nader waited for a response. Finally the silence between the two was broken.

"Gather the rest. I won't let her get away this time." Eric walked to his 1980's Impala and drove off.

"Hunters! Move out!" Nader gathered the men and they began their hunt.

Adri carried Sarah on her back while she slept. They traveled all day and all night for a month. Adri always made sure Sarah was fed and hydrated as well as rested. Eventually they stopped in a small town called Portland.

"We'll be safe here?" Sarah asked with a sleepy voice.
"Yes, Little One. We'll be safe until I can take you to my home." Adri looked at the girl as if looking at her for the first time. She studied her face. An idea came to her.

"Come here, Little One." Adri put out her hands. Sarah stepped in front of her.
"What are we doing?" Sarah asked.
"We need to change our appearance. We're being hunted." Adri placed her hands over Sarah's face. When she removed them, she looked like a completely different person. Adri morphed into one of the people she helped, Marie Collins. Sarah held the appearance of a nun, Sister Caits, that asked Adri to help her with the botched exorcism of Emily Schwin. Both women passed away peacefully, and weren't known by enough people to be remembered for longer than a few generations.

The two walked into town. Adri found a hotel they could stay in.

"Two beds, one room." Adri peered over her expensive sunglasses.
"And how long with you be staying, Miss?" The woman typed away onto her computer.
"Three weeks." Adri handed her a card,"Maybe longer."
She looked the card over, when she realized what it was, she smiled and said,"Yes ma'am. Let me go get your keys and I'll show you to your room." The woman stood and walked to the back room. She came back with two keys then showed them to the elevator.
They rode up to the twelfth floor. When they reached it, and the elevator doors opened, the woman showed them to room 317. She unlocked the door and showed them in.
"You have two separate rooms. One is to your right, the other is straight ahead. You have unlimited channels on the TV, and the restroom is to the right. Enjoy your stay!" She showed herself out after placing the keys on the table in the kitchen.

Adri turned to Sarah, who looked around the room. Adri cleared her throat and Sarah looked at her.

"Do what you need to do. Shower, eat, nap. When it's done, I'll take you to get some new clothes." Adri turned to the room on the right and closed the curtains. She let her form turn to the demon. She stretched out and let her wings span. Sarah stared in amazement. Adri caught her and turned away. She didn't want to be seen.

Sarah came into the room and grabbed Adri's shoulder to turn her to face her. Adri complied, reluctantly. She closed her eyes and dropped her head. Sarah cupped her face and lifted it. Adri slowly opened her eyes. The red glow showing.

"I'm a monster." Adri said. She looked the young girl in the eyes.
"No, Adri Lourah. You're my friend." Sarah wrapped her arms around the demons neck and hugged her. Adri stood there shocked for a second, then hugged the girl back.

"I don't care what you are, you are my friend. That's all that matters to me." Sarah said into the demons ear. Adri shed her demon form. She continued to hug the girl in human arms.

"Thank you, Little One." Adri pulled away to look at the girl. She brushed some hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead.
"Go bathe then eat. Sleep if you must," Adri let the girl out of her embrace. She opened a closet door. It was empty. She closed it and opened it again, then it had two outfits hanging there.
"Blue or red, my dear?" Adri pulled two beautiful, lace sun dresses. They both had roses and dragons embroidered into them.

"The blue one, please." Sarah looked at the silk garment and adored it. "But," she paused,"what about underwear?" She looked to Adri, who smiled.

"Not to worry little one. I thought of everything." She turned to the closet and pulled out a brazier. "See if it fits. It may be too small."  She handed it to Sarah. It was made of a soft cloth and had the same rose and dragon pattern the dress had.
"Could you, uh..." She twirled her finger to tell Adri to turn around. Adri turned and faced the wall. "Thanks." She pulled off her shirt, then the cami she wore all the time, then the old sports bra she always wore. She very carefully put the cups over her breasts and clasped the back. It fit perfectly. Despite being a strapless bra, it stayed up comfortably.
"Do, do you want to see?" She said to Adri.
"Do you want me to, Little One?" Adri spoke into the wall to her.
"I don't mind. I just thought you'd like to see if I had it on right."
Adri laughed and turned to look at the girl. She walked to her and shifted it to the side so it was even. Then assessed the whole image.
"It suits you, Little One."
"Thank you."
Adri looked to her face and smiled.

"Adri?"
"Yes, My Dear?"
"Why can I see your face as yours and you can see mine, but no one else can?"
"Demon cloaking skills hide the ones they're placed on from everyone that doesn't know of it's presence. So I can see Sarah and you see Adri, but the others see Sister Caits and Miss Collins." Adri looked at the girl. Sarah looked in a mirror and admired the clothing.
"Go shower, Little One. I'm going to go find food."
"Thank you, Adri." Sarah walked into the luxury bathroom and shut the door. Adri walked to the wall closest to the door of the hotel room and drew her mark with demons ash. Then, she walked out to stock the fridge with food.
