You could barely sleep, your excitement buzzing around in your head, your thoughts thinking about every possible outcome of your date with Tom. You were nervous too, what were you going to wear? What if he changed his mind? What if he ends up hating you? The panic started to bloom in your chest, you wanted to see him, but the fear of it going wrong pulled you back some.
A buzz from your nightstand dragged you out of your thoughts. Picking up your phone and the blinding little screen lit up. It was a message from Tom.
I know it's late, but I really can't wait to see you again. See you tomorrow darling, sweet dreams :)
You felt the familiar warmth in your cheeks and you pulled your phone to your face, silently squealing. So it wasn't just you? You read the message again, smiling like an idiot to yourself. Some of your doubts fading away and you finally felt the punch of exhaustion and quickly fell asleep.

You thought you would be still exhausted getting just a couple hours of sleep, but your anticipation for tonight kept it at bay. You rushed out of bed, taking a quick shower. You spent extra time putting on that vanilla scented lotion you were sure he would notice. Chowing down your breakfast you basically ran into you room throwing open the closet. Staring at the million articles of clothing you had, you would need what felt like days to pick out the right outfit. That's when it hit you.
You dashed to your night stand, pulling up Jamie's number. "Hey, I'm having a problem."
"What? What's wrong? You ok?" The worry in her voice echoing in the phone.
"What the hell am I going to wear tonight?" You shouted, panic surfacing in your voice.
You heard her distant laughing in the phone. Huffing out frustration, you waited until she finished. "Ok, I'm sorry, I'll be right over ok? Don't do anything stupid and just calm down, you'll be fine!"
Maybe you were freaking out a little bit, but you just didn't want tonight to go wrong. He was so amazing and easy going, you always worried about everything and thought about every outcome. You just needed to get through the day and enjoy tonight.
You rushed to the door when you heard the knock, nearly ripping open the door you dragged Jamie in and pulled her to your room. You stood in front of your closet with her in a silent panic. You turned to her with questioning eyes.
"Sweetie, ok, take a deep breath, this is the least of you worries. I am going to make you look irresistible ok? Just sit down and let me work my magic."
You did as she said and watched her rummage through your stuff, murmuring things to herself as she pulled shirts and dresses out, sizing them on you and checking to see if it fit your skin tone as she put it. Twenty minutes pass and she had already laid out three outfits to pick. You really didn't know how she did that so well.
