Thea's POV
We all stood at the sound of a crash nearby. Over to towards the entrance, a person had fallen over with their books. I sighed in relief, "Thank god." I watched as they began to pick up their stuff they looked awfully familiar."Is that Olly?" Peter asked.
"How did he get here so fast?" I nodded.
Olly looked up at us. He set his books down on the table. He made his way over but not in the normal way. He wasn't hoppy or joyful. He actually seemed serious. What happened?
"Olly?" I smiled. "That's weird that we ran into you again," he was getting closer and had his sights on me. It didn't look so good. "How've you been? Was the festival fu-"
He grabbed my throat and yanked me to the floor. I landed on my back, choking a bit. He tried to get to me, but Strange and Peter we're taking him on. I quickly crawled underneath the desk. The bangs scared me a bit, because I was afraid the table would close in on me. It didn't. I scanned around for something to use without completely destroying the library. Little to say, it didn't work.
I tried to crawl towards a chair, but someone grabbed my ankle and pulled me towards them. I kicked their hand, but it came to no avail. I was dragged out from onto the table. I turned on my back and Kangaroo kicked up. Luckily, Olly was trying to get to me, and I kicked him in the stomach. He doubled over and fell to the ground.
I stood up, What to do? What to do? He began to stand up and I grabbed a nearest chair. He was standing up, but he wasn't completely aware. My chance. I hit him right across the head with the chair.
I saw Strange and Peter getting up from the other side of the table. They seemed a little bruised and cut up but they were going to be okay. "You good?" Peter asked.
"Yeah. What about you two? Y'all look worse," I laughed.
"We're okay," Strange nodded.
"Yeah, but holy cow is that guy strong," Peter dubbed the back of his head.
I turned back to the dude. He was passed out and bleeding a bit. I looked to my right, "Hey Strange. Do we have anywhere to take and question him?"
"We might."
•••
"Where are we? And where is our interrogation room?" I asked.
"We are in St. Petersburg, Russia. And follow me."
"Guys," Peter huffed, "this guy is heavy. Can we get there fast?"
"Sure thing," Strange smirked. He looked around and made those circles with his hands. No, not again. A portal hole came out from underneath us and we all fell. Strange was the only one to land on his feet. "We're here."
I wiped off my knees, "Yeah, I think so."
Peter stood up, leaving the unconscious man on the ground, "Jeez Doc. Couldn't you've been a little more careful."
"No really my area of expertise."
"Alright, can we tie him up and sit him up? I'll wake him up, no problem." I spoke up.
"Yep. I gotcha," Spidey-boy whipped out his machine and we tied him up with his webs. We sat the guy up against the wall. That's when o really took a look at our surroundings. We were in a cellar of some sort.
"How in the world did you find this place?"
"Lot of rough research."
"Well, good job," I nodded. I turned to the guy and licked my hand.
"Morgan, what are you-"
I wiped my spit all across his face.
"Ew, that was gross," Peter cringed.
The guy began to stir in his sleep. I did it again. Then we heard him murmur, "Talia, not now. Five more minutes."
"What?" I asked.
The guy woke with a start, nearly knocking himself over. He looked up to us with wide eyes, "What happened? What's going on?"
I gave him the synapses of what had happened previously, then ended, "Then you said something about Talia. Let me guess, a dog or cat."
He bit his lip before he answered, "Sure, let's go with that."
"Okay, well, you're here now. First thing I want to know, where's the institution?"
"I don't know what you're talking abo-"
"Don't play dumb with me," I raised my eyebrows. "I'll ask one more time, "Where's your institution, AOPI?"
"I'm not telling you a thing," he spit in my face.
I closed my eyes, "Okay. I get it. You think your boss actually cares if you get fired or not? You know that you really aren't special, but you can't get fired because it's all you have. Your weak, and will bend for anything your boss tells you, huh?"
He remained silent, but I watched as he began to stare off onto the ground. He was thinking.
"We can help. We can show you al these benefits and earnings. You have the determination all you need is the training. We know an agency. Let us help," I smiled.
"They said the same thing."
"Well what did they offer that I didn't?"
"To survive," he looked up to me. "To stay alive."
"You can't promise someone that," I rolled my eyes. He murmured something under his breath. I couldn't catch what it was. "What?"
"Nothing. You wouldn't understand. You're just a little girl."
I cocked my head. I heard the boys behind me whispering to each other, but I ignored them. "A little girl?" I chuckled. "I was able to beat a couple grown men, a few assassins and you. I think I'm doing better than you, who got beat by this little girl. And I have. No. Experience."
He looked at me with shocked eyes.
"Now, listen here you little pussy," I grabbed his throat with my hand.
"Hey, hey. Morgan, back up. Don't do anything you'll regret," I heard Peter warn.
"How would your boss think if he heard you got beat by a 'little girl'? He would replace you, wouldn't he? He would drug you and experiment with you, won't he? He'll try to make you better...but you won't ever be...unless you help us. So, we'll give you a great job, threat-free. Because after tonight, you'll need a new one."
"What does that mean?" He asked, shaking from fear and my hand.
"You will show us where it is, and get us in. Any hesitation or you call your boss, and I will end you. Got it?" I smiled.
"Yes ma'am."
"Good," I released him. I turned to Peter, "I never regret anything. Now," I turned back to our hostage, "why did you come after me anyways?"
"They wasn't that," he gestured to my chest.
"Well, they aren't going to get it," I held my head up.
"Actually," Strange smirked, "they just might."
