The start of a new type

After everyone was settled and back sleeping with one eye open, Keith and Lance went back to their duties. They rested for a couple minutes in a good high up spot wear they could see practically the whole city

"Ugh, it's so boring!" Lance whined pouting a bit

"Shush" Keith said quietly looking behind them "your going to attract things near us if you keep whining" He rolled his eyes

Lance huffed and set his gun down next to him and laying down "nothing exciting ever happens anyway" He said a little quieter

Keith sighed "just because you say it quieter doesn't make it anymore annoying- shit-"
He nudged Lance and pointed over to a couple people and small child walking past their Boundarie points.

They went down to the people holding their guns up to them "what are you doing here" Keith asked

The father jumped and shot Keith out of reflex, he was quick to give Lance a worrying look

"Sh-shit Keith!" Lance looked at Keith and back at them man shooting him in the arm as a warning. He put the sash of his gun around his neck and shoulder picking Keith up and taken him back to base
He woke up everyone and told them situation.

A few months passed and Keith was gone, not a dry a eye in group. they decided to just leave the original base and move to a bigger house they had discovered recently. After getting settled, word spread through to area rapidly. Everyone thinking how weak the Bloods are now, or how open they are to take out. They knew they could easily hunt down the bloods. But that was false, Adam was back, and the only one besides Keith and Shiro that actully held the team together. The ones that would hear out everyone.

they trained all day, and night. Learning to fight for themselves easily. Lance pushes himself Hard till he couldn't even walk the next day. He was taught to be one of the pillars of the team. It was a slow process, but they were learning to kill other people quicker.. But deep down everyone knew they shouldn't kill each other for these reason and these reasons only

Someone that could have died and left out in the open can become in infected easily within matters of hours

And that they would be killing their own race, and be closer to extinction.

The bloods had broken both those rules, they had killed Ben for their own good. Not that they wanted to or anything.. Just because Ben was going to make his first move eventully
And plus now Keith and Ben could still be out there.... Except.. as the walking dead. And that's not very useful to them now is it.. Ye Didn't think so :)
