When I get up to my apartment I decide to give Chloe a ring, I just realized that she is probably going crazy, wondering how our talk went last night. I flop down on the sofa and dial her number. She picks up after a couple of rings.

I don't even get the chance to say hello when her voice rings out down the phone. "Lucy, tell me everything!"

"How do you know that there is anything to tell?" I ask, teasing her a little.

She tuts lightly down the phone at me. "If I have to come over there myself and coax it out of you I will.....tell me now!"

I let out a small sigh before I blurt out my next words. "Clay and I are together."

The screech that echoes down the phone is enough to deafen anyone. "Oh holy god! I knew it. This is awesome Lucy, I'm so thrilled for you."

"Thank you Chloe. We are going on our first official date tonight. I'm really looking forward to it."

"Oh my god, say no more, I'm on my way over!" she practically shouts down the phone to me.

"What?" I ask in confusion.

"This is literally your first date ever since I have known you, you didn't think that I was going to let you get ready on your own now did you?"

I shake my head lightly. "I really don't think that's necessary. I mean it's not that big of a deal. Clay and I have hung out together loads, so it's no fuss."

I hear Chloe chuckle down the phone at me. "Oh honey. I love you but sometimes you are really clueless. I'm on my way."

Before I even have the chance to protest anymore, Chloe hangs up the phone.

(Well I guess that means that Chloe is coming over.)

I have a quick shower while I'm waiting for Chloe to arrive. It isn't long before she texts me to say that she is outside. I buzz her up, and within minutes she enters my apartment, practically hopping in like an overexcited bunny rabbit.

She quickly turns her attention to me. "So, tell me everything?"

I roll my eyes in slight irritation. "Well you already know that Clay and I are together. I guess there was other bits of news but they aren't exactly good news."

Chole's eyes widen in curiosity. "Oh dear, that doesn't sound good."

I let out a small sigh. "Nope. Firstly, last night my mother rang me."

Chloe's eyes widen in surprise, and I can tell that she's immediately worrying about me. "Christ, I'm almost afraid to ask you what she wanted."

I make my way over to the sofa and sit down beside Chloe. "Yeah, she basically was ringing to tell me about Claire and Paul's engagement, and she asked me to come."

Chloe's jaw nearly touches her toes it opens that wide in shock. "You have got to be frigging kidding me? Is she off her rocker?"

"I wish I was kidding but she was deadly serious. I suppose in her defence, she doesn't exactly know why I am so against visiting again."

"Yeah, but like you said several times before, even if you had of told her the truth, she probably would have taken your sister's side."

I let out a long sigh. "I know."

"Are you considering going?"

I snap my head around to Chloe. "God no, why on earth would I do that? She even tried to convince me by telling me that I could bring a friend with me."

"Well you know that if you do decide to go, I would totally go with you. Although, I would probably end up in jail afterwards, from ripping that piece of shit to shreds."
