Kai POV
I walked to school as normal. This morning I decided to use the ''sugar cubes'' that touka gave me. The coffee doesn't taste that different. It's actually really good. It just has a tang in it.
"Kai!" I heard Hitoshi say.
"Hey bro." I stopped and turned around. "You get any sleep yesterday?" I asked him. He dint respond for a second.
He then sighed and moped, "No. I was trying to figure out why I can't find that app on the tv."
"Which app? Wall breaker?" I ask turning to him. "Is it not working anymore?"
"Yea, It hasn't been working since you left for work yesterday." He sighed and rubbed his temples in annoyance.
"Hmm... I can come to your house again and try to figure out how to fix it with you." I offered it while grabbing the thermos I dedicated to him. It was black with a yellow smiley face sticker on it.
"Yes!" He silently cheered and snatched it from my hand, chugging it greedily.
"Oh yeah. I talked to touka yesterday and I found out that she's like me." I said smiling at the thought. I'm not the only one anymore.
"So the show was right?" Hitoshi said putting the coffee down. "Did you ask her about the show or about kaneki?" He asked.
I watched the scenery as we walked up to the hill where UA's massive buildings came into view. "No, I dint. I figured that it would be better to ask her about her past once I got to know her better." I shrugged.
Hitoshi was quiet for a bit. I turned to him to see what happened. He just stared at me with a humored smile. "What?" I raised my brow, confused.
"You forgot to ask, dint you?" He asked, about to laugh because he already knew the answer.
"Maybeeeeeee" I stretched out the word. He just laughed at me. I smiled too and started to run to the gates. "If you can't catch me, you can't shame me for my forgetful nature!" I shouted, turning to look at me once I was at a safe distance.
"You bet I can! I just had coffee! You can't stop me now!!" He shouted, coming after me.
"Oh no! Señor Sleep Deprived is coming to get me!" I shouted, flailing my arms in the air, acting terrified.
"RAAAAHHHHH!!! FEAR MEEE!!!" He screeched at the top of his lungs.
He is faster than I thought! I turn to look at him for a second, but he tackled me. We both fell on the grass next to each other. "OoF! I can't believe you've done this." I laughed, slowing sitting myself up.
"Not so fast. Señor Sleep-deprived hasn't killed you yet." He grinned evilly. He's almost as scary as Aizawa!
"NUUU!!" I screamed trying to get back up. He just yanked me down, back onto the grass and proceeded to tickle me. "NUU!!" I laughed, tears forming in the corners of my eyes. I kept on trying to escape, but he just kept on tickle torturing me. "Ok, ok, I give señor I give!" I laughed, hitting the ground.
He thankfully let me free. I stood up and held out a hand. He grasped it and stood up, dusting off his blazer. I Wiped the dirt off my grey sweats. Yes, sweat pants. I burned that damned skirt long ago.
---
I sat down on my desk, pulling out my coffee and sipping it peacefully as the other students chattered. "Coffee smells good." I looked up and was greeted with Hakagure. "Yes, it does," I say closing the lid, wary of her.
"Come to think of it, you have been bringing coffee to school every single day." She said.
"So?" I ask, pulling the thermos closer to me.
