3RD POV

Bakugo and Todoroki thought about what Kai had said. It struck them as odd how she took the time to tell them that during the famous UA sports festival.

They finished, mindlessly standing back up from where the explosion blasted them away and sprinting towards the finish line. Sure they were thinking about her words, but there was no way that they would simply give up the race. What would be the point in that?

"The winner who came in with a soaring entrance is IZUKU MIDORIYA!" Mic screamed causing the crowd to erupt in more cheers.

"Here comes...!" The crowd waiting in anticipation as President mic paused, waiting for the person to run through the gate.

Was is bakugo? Todoroki? Maybe it's the girl that abruptly stopped them? She could have used it to her advantage and won the race, but then again she helped out the first place winner so anything can happen at this point!

The air was thick as they all held their breaths in wait.

"HITOSHI SHINSO FROM GENERAL STUDIES!!"

Loud gasps of shock and astonishment were heard throughout the stadium.

"Was that the boy the purple-haired chick was helping?" One guy wondered

"He looks exhausted and from the looks of it, the exhaustion is not only from the exercise." One person sympathized.

"HE MADE HIS WAY AROUND THE CHAOS LIKE A TRUE CHAMP! FOCUSED UNTIL THE END!" Mic screamed.

"Why won't he just shut up. He is giving me a headache." Shinso groaned, leaning over, still trying to catch his breath.

"Nice job out there." Kai ran through the gates right before todoroki and bakugo.

"3RD PLACE IS KAI! 4TH IS KATSUKI BAKUGO AND 5TH IS SHOTO TODOROKI!"

"I couldn't have made it here without you. Thanks." Hitoshi smiled up at kai who had her hand held out in front of him. He gladly grabbed it, hoisting his tired self up.

"Now, let's go rest, so we can dominate the next round," Kai said with a smirk.

"I can't think of a better idea." Shinso returned the gesture.

The next game was soon announced thanks to Midnight. The audience watched curiously as the students made different groups of four. 

Kai and Shinso walked together trying to find a certain pinkette. "Oh, I see her." Kai tugged Shinso's arm as she jogged over to her fellow detention friend. She actually might thank Aizawa for putting her in detention once all of this is over. That would be an interesting conversation. Kai smiled at the thought. 

The pair kept on dodging people as they maneuvered towards Mei. Until Kai crashed into someone. "Sorry about that." The person spoke.

"Oh, it's you Todoroki." Kai looked up at the half and half boy. He noticed how Shinso was quickly getting tired of being dragged and the lack of other team members she had. However, behind kai was a fairly large group approaching. He needed to act quickly. 

"Can I be on your team?" Todoroki asked casually. He was quite interested in the girl. She somehow understood how he was feeling. He was curious about how she managed to do that. If she said yes, then he might get the chance to ask her what she meant in the last phase. 

"Sorry todoroki, I need to get back to you on that. I have things to do right- Hi!" Her gaze turned to mei who found her. "I've been looking for you! We got this girl, huh?" Kai said with a smile, letting go of Shinsos's hand so she can greet mei. 

"You bet. With your last scene and flashy quirk, I'm sure all eyes will be on you, then I can show off my babies to the support companies!" She cheered clasping Kai's hand excitedly. 

"Is it just me or do you feel a bit lost?" Shinso walked over to todoroki who nodded in agreement, looking at the pair oddly.

"Let's get this party started!" Midnight yelled stretching even though she wasn't the one doing the exercise. Maybe it was because she was old and wanted to feel young again.

Kai yawned uninterested in what she was saying. She would have todoroki fill her in later. He always pays attention in class. Truthfully she had seen him speedily fill out test answers when she went on a bathroom run. That was the main reason why she was able to pass the test. Culture is a bit different here, so she always had a hard time when trying to do that. Math too. Aizawa likes to give extra credit word problems to his dumber students which so happens to involve kai. Last week's problem was: If kaneki had 1000 centipedes and the owl ate 7 each time Kaneki's toe was cut off then how many centipedes would he have left after all his toes were cut off. It was very disturbing, to say the least. Although kai wondered why and how Aizawa came up with that question and name the same day that I watched TG with Hitoshi.

"We have to go, kai" Todoroki nudged kai. She nodded still thinking about kaneki. Was that just coincidence or does Aizawa know about the show Tokyo ghoul? Does he know about the real kaneki? Or is the universe trying to tell her something?

President mic was riling up the crowd while Aizawa struggled to take his nap. He had a lovely dream about finding a box of kittens. He was woken up right before they were going to open their eyes for the first time! "COME ON EVERYONE! LET'S GET OUR BLOOD PUMPING!! LET ME HEAR YOU SCREAM!!!"

The audience did as told and screamed till you can hear a faint echo coming from just about everywhere. 

"ONE FINAL COUNTDOWN BEFORE THE GAME STARTS!"

"I'm sure everyone's going to target Izukus team," Shinso said at the rear left.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that." Todoroki corrected from the front.

"3!"

"Why?" Kai asked sitting on mei and Shinso's shoulders. 

The other teams had their game faces on repeating their last plans before the chaos begins.

"2!"

"Have you not realized?" Todoroki turned back to look at kai who was confused. 

"Yeah, I'm kinda surprised you both didn't get it yet," Mei added.

"Damn," Shinso muttered, understanding now. 

"1!"

"We have 3 of the top 5 scorers." Todoroki started.

"BEGIN!"

Teams set off into a sprint.

"If we don't include the million headband, then we are the best group to be targeted." Shinso finished.

Teams sprinted towards them with grins on their faces. "While all the hotheads are after the million we are coming for you guys, so brace yourselves!" Monoma screeched.

"Oh, we know!" Kai yelled as her team ran in the opposite direction. 

"You didn't know a minute ago." Mei teased. 

"Haha very funny." Kai rolled her eyes, dodging a person who caught up, trying to snatch her headband. She let her kagune burst to life behind her, surprising the attacker. She quickly snatched his headband when they were paying more attention and giving more caution to her kagune. People tend to forget that she can use her real limbs just as much as any person can. She doesn't use her kagune for everything, but it sure is useful at times.
