'Smallville!' "Am kinda getting used to that name of yours" Perry muttered
"It's just a nick name I got here" Clark tried answering politely
"That's just what am saying! Nick name, name it's all the same, get closer I got a little job for you here Smallville" Perry said getting his little Perry glasses on.
"Err..just a minute sir" Clark wasn't really a fan of delaying Perry's requests but had to save a couple from a fire outbreak nearby. Tearing off his office shirt and running towards the empty elevator, Clark noticed how well he could feel the cool air around his upper body. Just then he noticed he was topless he had forgotten his hero suit at the fotress of solitude a night before. "Shet!, What next..." The elevator door had just closed approaching the ground floor, Clark could hear over seven footsteps approaching the just arriving elevator of which Lois was among. "Oh my..."
The elevator door opened...
"What a wonderful phyic you hide, oh! You think you are fit enough for the Mr Daily planet award... "
"Mr Daily planet?" Lois had just entered the elevator interrupting Cat's running mouth
"Yeah, it just came up today! Am ready to see my man win" Cat rapped
"Clark, really?" Lois whispered in to the thin air
"Look Lois, am not interested in Mr Daily planet, am just shirtless that's all" Clark tried to cover it all speaking with a soft tone
"Clark I'm not bothered about the Mr Daily planet stuff, you really need to start keeping to plan" Lois yelled at Clark.
"That's not it Lois.."
Lois rushed out of the elevator turning back briefly on noticing Clark's torn shirt on the ground..
"Explain that!" She exclaimed.
"Pre-couples issues, happy Mr Daily planet!" Cat gloated giving Clark a mockery look. **** Perry's office
'Smallville! You got the contestants ready for tonight?' Perry said giving an inquisitive look at Clark.
"Contestants?... Tonight!"
'Yeah, my Mr Daily planet award contestants' Perry replied. "I chose you to do that not because you worth the job but because you don't give a damn about such things" he added
'That's just a... perfect observation sir" Clark stammered
'Yeah, now go get me my contestants!"
Lois entered into the office just then.
"Hmm. Sir I have the reports on the victims of the fire outbreak" Lois said bothered with Clark's presence in the office.
"Just drop it and leave" Perry commanded "Clark, get out too"
They motioned towards the office door dramatically, getting Perry's attention..
"That's the door just open it and leave" Perry emphasized getting back to cleaning his new glasses
*** "Miss Lane, I wanted to prevent what happened...the fire outbreak harmed people."
"Hell ya! We talked about you not saving the city for a week. And nobody was hurt, metropolis got enough heroes" Lois replied hurriedly. " I got some little business tonight, Mr Daily planet"
"I thought we were to have tonight to ourselves" Clark stuttered startled by Lois countenance.
"Yep, but I'm gonna have to get Mr Daily planet contestants ready for tonight and I suppose you are contesting so we still got the night together"
"You are in charge of the make up?"
"That's it, so I'm leaving office early to go get the make up kits ready"

lark knew little about getting men to do some work, counting on Lois to do that for him was his only option. He just got to give it a try or nothing works out..
"Err... Miss Lane I'm suppose to get the contestants and huh...I haven't gotten any. Could you.."
"Help me in getting them" Lois interrupted Clark's unending stutter. "I guess that's your job not mine"
"Yeah, it's my job, SO WHO WANNA BE MR DAILY PLANET!" Clark shouted, his voice drew everyone's attention. " SO ITS VERY SIMPLE. WE ALL KNOW THE AWARD CEREMONY IS TONIGHT AND...ERR"
" IF YOU ARE INTERESTED GET TO OUR DESK RIGHT HERE AND COME SHOW YOURSELF WORTHY!"
"Thanks Lois that was a great save there" Clark said holding Lois palm gently.
"I guess it's Miss Lane, remember?" Lois joked getting her hands of Clark's. "Cat is approaching our desk"
"Hosh! Am not a contestant so don't give me that sarcastic look. I beg your pardon?" Cat said blushing for a moment "Well I'm really bothered about this little girl, she says she got no home and no parents, what am I supposed to do?!"
"She didn't fall from the sky... You could publish her case on tomorrow papers or try getting her foster parents if your really care" Lois advised giving her a harsh look.
"Miss lane, that's just it. I have published her case twice and guess what? Nothing changed"
"So what's her name?" Clark asked
"Err... Sarah Stewart"
