Scott, his sons and I are waiting in Esther's hotel room for her to get back from court.

I hope everything is still the same and Kirstie is never going to get out of prison.

There's no one in hell someone like that can change overnight or ever in all honesty.

Just then, Esther walks into the hotel room, with a blank look on her face.

"Hey, boys! Why don't you two go place with the legos over there so I can talk to your Dad and Uncle Mitch, okay?" Esther says in a sweet voice to Justin and Austin.

They both nods their small heads and run over to the opposite side of the room to play.

She then turns back towards Scott and I.

"We have a problem." She says.

"What's wrong?" Scott asks.

Esther sighs loudly and rubs her forehead.

"Kirstie went up on the stand today to testify how she has changed over the last twenty something years and it was pretty convincing because the judge decided to release her." Esther explains.

I gaps loudly and put my hand over my mouth.

I can't believe she is actually getting out of prison.

Scott starts to pace back and forth while he looks over at his sons playing.

"I know this is a tough pill to swallow, but I also have something else to tell you that might be another problem." She says.

Scott looks at her and back at me.

"Nothing worse than Kirstie getting out of prison, right?" I ask.

"Well, last night, by my car a guy came up to me and told me not to go to the hearing today or I'll regret it. So I brought it up in court to Kirstie today and she insisted she didn't have any goons on the outside or inside and that she doesn't want to be known as that person anymore. And after she got up on the stand, I believed her." Esther explains.

"What do we do now?" Scott asks.

Esther hands us both folders full of information on a safe house we can stay at until Esther figures all this out.

"For both of your best interest, I think everyone, including myself, should stay here." She says.

Scott nods and packs up both his boys to head over to his new hideout spot.

I'm not too sure what to make out of any of this.

I just want my normal life I finally made myself back.
