Rolling down the River of life

Chapter 6

It's finally the end of the day and i'm not gonna lie, i might be a little bit more excited than usual because im going over to Scotts. I sling my trusty yellow bag over my shoulders and scramble out of class as fast as i could to meet Scott at the buses.

When i get there i am greeted with a pair of familiar chocolate brown eyes and a warm smile.....

"Hey stranger, you ready to go?" he says 

"Of course" i say and laugh at the same time

"Then lets get going" and with that we start walking to his house to "study"

Its been 2 hours already and so far we haven't gotten any of our english homework done ( not that i was expecting to anyway). All we've done is talked and laughed the whole time.

"Oh my god i cant believe you did that" i said still laughing from what Scott was telling me before. Once i had stopped lauging Scott spoke again.

"So um what's up with you and that River guy?" he asked cautiously 

"What do you mean?"

"Well he was sending me death glares throughout english today and then when i went to my next class which River would normally be in, he wasnt there...."

"To be honest with you i hardly know the guy and i've only hung out with him once, but he is really good friends with my best friend Tyler." i said

"Yeah i figured, they have been hanging out alot lately" 

"i know......" I said with a sigh

The truth is i cant stop thinking about River even though he slightly intimidates me and is turning my best friend into a pot head......

"Shit its 5:50 i gotta head home before my mom turns ape shit on me" 

I quickely got up off the floor and grabbed my bag

"Hey before you go, i was just wondering if you would like to go out with me on friday night?" he said nervously scratching the back of his head.

I thought about it for a few seconds before i answered "Sure sounds great"

Scott looked relieved and before we said our goodbyes we exchange numbers, but i just couldnt shake the thought of a certain blue eyed , blonde haired boy.........................River
