Chapter 3: Family

Cali's POV

"What was that again, Cali?" I rolled my eyes and push the glass door of my favorite resto.

I glanced at Rae who's now mubbling such things again while sitting in front of me.

"Waiter!" I raised my hand to sign the waiter to come in our table. He immediately came and gave us the menu.

The foods here are good, it will satisfy your tummy and also your money. And the ambiance was so relaxing mixture of dark brown and white paints and all. Simple yet elegant.

"I want some grilled chicken, bake mac, and Ice tea for my drink and add some water please." Ibinaba ko ang hawak kong menu at ibinigay rito.

I glanced again to the whole resto, trying to remmember my last moment here with my parents. We were so happy back then, I feel really special they treat me like a real princess but everything change when Ashton came he ruin my life, he's my parent's adopted son.

"Hmm I want some Chicken Teryaki and Lasagna and I want some Orange Juice for my drink. Thank you." I heard Mirae said.

"So Ms. Calista Orange Folkner for the second time what was it again?" I rolled my eyes in irritation.

Really? She's not already over with that topic?

"Rae, sinabi ko lang kay Lana na hindi niya dapat sinasabi ang mga bagay na iyon." She dramatically sighed.

"Oh really? Why was her face like that though? Like she was grossed with something?" I just smirked and shrugged.

"Here's your order Ma'am, enjoy your meal." The waiter said.

I put the table napkin on my lap and grab the spoon and fork in front. I put some grilled chicken on my plate then I started to eat.

Tandang-tanda ko pa noon tuwing sumasapit na ang linggo ay namamasyal kami nina Mommy at Daddy sa mall at ito ang paborito naming resto. At same with the dish I'd order eto rin ang kadalasang in-order ni daddy for us.

"Look who's here." Mirae whispered.

Tinignan ko ang tinitignan niya, napa-ngisi ako ng makita si Lana with her two slave na kumakain sa gilid namin. In short magkatabi lang ang table namin, pero dahil sa likas na tanga siya hindi man lang niya napansin.

"Don't make a scene again, Cali." Pagpigil saakin ng magaling kong kaibigan.

I just smiled sweetly on her then inaya ko na siyang umalis. She histerically looked at me.

"Pa take out nitong tira." I heard Lana said.

Oh she make take out? How cheap naman!.

"Lana girl, why are you taking home the tira-tira?" Maarte kong sabi.

Her eyes open widely when she saw the beautiful girl in front of her and that's me.

"You! Why are you here again? Did you follow us?" She accusingly said.

Maarte kong inayos ang buhok ko at inismiran siya. How dare her?

"Oh dream on girl! By the way naghihirap na ba kayo para mag-uwi ng tira-tira from resto?" Napamaang ito at tumayo na rin sa harap ko.

She was about to point a finger on me when I grab her filthy dirty hand. Eww.

"Don't you dare point a finger on me." Binawi niya ang kamay niya saakin at maarteng tumayo na parang ewan.

"Well I'm rich and yeah I'll take out the food because I saw you! Akala ko kasi hindi mo kayang bumili ng mga ganito so I bought you one! I'm so kind right?" She laughed loudly at me. I sarcastically laughed too and that made her stop.

"Oh excuse me I can't afford the food here? Oh girl are you stupid? Don't you know that my mom was the owner of Wine House? Ang pinaka-kilalang pagawaan ng mga mamahaling alak sa buong mundo? And my dad was the known CEO of the extravagant companny called Folkner Corporation? My family owns a lot pf properties here in the Philippines and also in the other part of Europe. So tell me how can't I afford some foods like that? It's just a coin for me." I said lazily and fully of classy.

Nalaglag ang panga niya pati na rin ang mga kasama niyang madudungis. How pittiful.

"And yes thank you for your kindness but I don't need it. Pwe." I was about to go out of the scene when something popped in my mind.

"And one thing I don't eat tira-tira kasi from resto. If ever naman mag take out ako it's for my dogs." I smirked and then go out of the resto.

"Oh em! Ang sungit mo talaga Cali!" Humagalpak ng tawa si Mirae kaya't napangisi ako.

"Is that a compliment or what?" I coldly said.

"It's a statement girl" she said.

Pumasok ako sa aking BMW habang siya ay pumasok na sa kanyang SUV. I waved goodbye to her and start my engine. Pinabilis ko ang pagpa-patakbo ko ng aking sasakyan at ng matanaw ang aming Subdivision ay agad ko na itong pinasukan. Our Subdivision was the secured one and it was really hard to enter.

"What's happening?" I ask one of our maid when I saw them panicking.

"May lagnat po kasi si Sir Ashton." I rolled my eyes on her answer.

"Watever they're so overracting. And oh Yaya! Don't knock me for dinner I'm already full." I walk to our grand stair, I accidentally saw what's happening on Ashton's room. Mommy was on the side of his bed while dad standing beside mom they looked really worried.

"Huwag kayong mag-alala hindi naman mamatay yan. Simpleng lagnat lang ikinababahala pa." I coldly said to them and then I'll go to my room.

"Calista! Open this damn door!" I heard my mom shouted outside. I lazily stand up from laying on my bed.

"Yeah?" I said when I opened the door. Mom slapped me.

It was my first time that my mom hurt me with her bare hands. I gulp and looked at her coldly. She was fuming mad, her eyes was so red.

"Are you happy now that you finally slapped me? Are you stasfied?" I cooly said and smirked to her.

"Akala mo ba hindi ko alam?! You thrown the bowl that's why Ashton swim on that river! Kita mo na ang nangyari sa ginawa mo? Linagnat siya!" Hinila niya ako pababa sa hagdan namin.

"Say sorry to him!" I cooly shake my head she slapped me once again and pushed me outside of our house.

"You will never enter this house, you should know your place to. Kapag nag sorry ka na sakanya saka kapalang makakapasok." Padabog niyang sinarado ang gate ng aming bahay.

The cold water from the rain filled me. I closed my fist to stop myseld from crying but I coudn't help it. I cried hard like theres no tommorow.

"I didn't do anything. I didn't throw that damn bowl of his in fact I'll save him from drowning. And what did you say mom? Know my place? Weren't my place have been taken away because of him? Inagawan niya ako ng pwesto sa puso niyo. And I'm very disappointed and sad that you let that happen."
