EPISODE 8 house rules —
"are you alright seolhyun?" someone asked. seolhyun blinked several times as she awoke from slumber. she glanced to her side to see kihyun staring at her with a worried look painted on his face.
"that's a stupid question don't you think." jungkook said, not looking back to face either of them while talking.
"don't take this out on me, this was your doing." kihyun answered back to jungkook's remark, rolling his eyes before looking out of the car window.
"will you both shut up." yoongi said finally speaking. he sighed as he looked behind to take a glance at seolhyun. she looked how he felt, tired and fed up. turning around he began to wonder wether or not this is really a good idea.
"where are we going." seolhyun asked as she too looked out of the window, the sky now bright and the area unfamiliar.
"home." jungkook replied bluntly.
seolhyun looked at kihyun, who was still looking out of the window, then at yoongi and jungkook. "this- this isn't the way home." she stated, suddenly a rush of panic overcame her.
she reached for her phone in her pocket. what was the time? she had work later this evening.
"great." she muttered to herself as he phone showed nothing but a black screen.
"you're coming with us." jungkook said forcefully, still looking at the road ahead. seolhyun was lost for words.
jungkook turned around, "listen love, i saved your life, now technically you owe me and you owe us." he started, his piercing gaze making her feel slightly uncomfortable. "don't worry, we'll look after you." jungkook said turning back around to face the front of the car. the car became awkwardly silent, the silence only broken by the blinking of the indicator frequently.
-
seolhyun stepped out of the car to be hit with the piercing cold wind that pushed passed her.
"don't think about doing a runner." jungkook stated, "you'll only make your situation worse." was all he said before satisfyingly throwing his keys into the air then catching them again.
seolhyun looked at yoongi, his face unsurprisingly unreadable. he hadn't said much this whole journey, maybe that's just how he is, it's not like seolhyun really knew him.
to her surprise yoongi turned his head to face her as if he knew she was staring. "staring is rude y'know." yoongi declared before walking off, leaving seolhyun to follow behind like a lost puppy.
"i wasn't staring." is all she said in a mere whisper, causing yoongi to snort.
"yeah, and i'm an angel." he remarked, causing seolhyun to roll her eyes.
"well this is it." yoongi announced as the three boys and seolhyun were stood outside a house, seemed normal from where she was standing. it was fairly large, seemed more expensive than what the average person would own. the outside was painted a birch wooden colour and the front garden was kept tidy. the front door was painted a matt blue with the number '4' in gold placed in the centre.
as kihyun opened the door the first thing seolhyun noticed was the inside was a hell of a lot darker than the outside, with the wooden floor black that matched the walls. above was a huge chandelier which acted as the sun, being the only source of light in this darkness.
seolhyun walked inside and the door was unnecessarily slammed behind her causing her to jolt and jungkook to snicker at her. she continued to follow yoongi down the dimly lit corridor until something caught her attention.
to her left there was a slightly agape door. light shone threw it as if it led to another world, although what was on the floor said otherwise.
on the floor was a pool of crimson blood that seeped through the gap of the door and underneath it. seolhyun stepped closer, placing one hand on the door and pushed it open slightly until the door collied with something wouldn't open any more.
"what are you doing?" she heard jungkook say, before she had time to step away jungkook had harshly grabbed ahold of her shoulder and turned her around to face him. "you see," he started, slightly bending down to become at eye level with seolhyun. his obsidian eyes burn holes into her as she doesn't look him directly in the eye. "there is a reason we have black floors and walls." he stated, his voice low and sharp. "you wanna be another reason?"
"jungkook."
both seolhyun and jungkook turned to look at the person who interrupted.
"what." jungkook replied coldly.
"stop doing unnecessary things, you're making this more difficult than it already is." yoongi said brushing a hand through his hair. "as if that's even possible." he muttered to himself.
"listen seolhyun, we've got rules here and if you don't follow them-" jungkook started but didn't finish due to yoongi interrupting once again.
"we've got rules yes," yoongi glared at jungkook, "and when rules are broken there is a consequence, isn't that right jungkook?" yoongi continued, his face remaining blank and his voice monotonous.
"right."
yoongi slowly walked up to jungkook. jungkook was much taller than yoongi but that didn't make his presence any less so. "so when i tell you what to do you fucking listen jeon jungkook." yoongi harshly said. yoongi radiated power and dominance and as the silence continued the tension increased.
jungkook didn't say anything for a moment, he just looked at seolhyun then at yoongi. "you wanted help, i got you help, at least you could be fucking grateful for once and not throw it back in my face." jungkook argues back flames are literally in his eyes.
but what really caught seolhyun off guard was when yoongi took a step closer and grabbed onto the colour of jungkook's black oversized t-shirt and said, "don't forget who fucking saved your life jeon." and furiously let go stomping off straight afterwards.
