A Deal With The Devil

Dan and Phil each carried 2 gallons of gasoline into the house. While Phil started spreading the gasoline around the first floor, Dan covered the second floor, being sure not to forget dousing the only alive man left in gasoline. Before covering Mathew, he took off the blankets, just to be sure he would die the most painful death he could have. On the way back downstairs he poured a path of gasoline down them, just to be sure the whole house would be in flames. Phil managed to find some matches in a box next to a large collection of candles, and after smelling all the candles he wanted to, he went to the front of the house where he met Dan.

"Hey, would you like to do the honors?" Phil handed Dan the box of matches. He took a match from the box and dragged the match across the side. Dan brought the flame up into his line of sight and dropped it to the start of the path of gasoline.  the house practically blew up, and after watching it burn for some time, dan started feeling dizzy. (ihadto)"Phil, I don't feel so good..."

"It's ok, I bet it's just us going back to get our next task... I don't feel great either." soon enough, all either of them could see was black.

Dan and Phil woke to Spif shaking them frantically. "Good morning. Damn, you guys can really sleep. That was way longer than it should've been. Ok lovebirds, the last challenge was easy. You may both be dead, but you still hold the bodies of mortals, therefore your body can die. If one you dies, you may not continue, but the other may. If the one living survives the quest you may both continue on your path to the good half of hell! The bad news is if you both die you are stuck in the layer of hell you died in. Each layer has its own way of letting you out. You guys are to go to each layer of hell and collect certain things, not all physical. Now, the whole time you are going through layers I will be around because I was specifically assigned to you guys. This means I report everything I see to Satan, so he knows you are completing the deeds he needs to be done. Do you both wish to continue?" 

Dan slowly nodded as Phil responded for them both, "yes."

"Ok, you two! I will send the list of items/tasks your way, while you look that over I'm going to get a head start to limbo... I usually stay on the good side of hell. good luck, and I believe in you!"

"what's going through your mind?" Phil noticed the deep thought Dan seemed to be stuck in.

"this could lead to us never seeing each other again, and I don't want that to happen..."

"Hey, we are going to get through this, and I'm not gonna let that happen." Phil pulled Dan into a hug. "we should get going..."

and again, everything disappeared.
