Day 3: April 5

Maya's POV

It's the first class of the day, English, with our teacher Mr. Daniel Jackson. He is my favorite teacher and he teaches my favorite subject, which made it even better.

A lot of people say he is super hot, and I'm not gonna lie, he is kinda hot. Not that I have a crush on him, though.

No, actually, and I quote Toni Topaz, "I'm more into girls, anyways." I'm bisexual, but I'm not 50/50. More like 75/25. I think you can guess what the 75 means.

Even though I've known for a while that I'm bi I've never actually dated anyone. As you know, I watch a lot of movies and read books, so trust me, I know what happens when a girl falls for a straight girl. It's hell. No, hell would be an understatement. It's more like chaos and the end of your life.

But enough about me because that's not what matters. So I look forward to pay attention to Mr. Jackson.

"Class, quiet down, please. Thank you. As you know, we will be starting a project. You must choose a theme from a book and explore it in depth. With a partner."

Immediately everyone looks around for a partner, and I was about to ask Mads to be my partner when Mr. Jackson said, "Hold your horses everyone. I will choose your partners."

Everyone groaned in frustration. Of course he would choose the partners. And then I panicked, because I looked around to see Sabrina sitting some rows behind me. The teachers would usually put an intelligent person with a not-so-intelligent person, and I had a high chance to be partners with Sabrina or Thomas Riley, who was also in this class.

"Okay, I will call your name and you will go find your partner, okay? Mr. Riley and Ms. Stone, Mr. Landreth and Mr. Jason, Mr. Francis and Ms. Kennedy, Mr. Urbanski and Mr. Hervey, Ms. Khalil and Mr. Prescott, Mr. Hollister and Ms. Vinci and finally Ms. Clarke and Ms. Bryan," the teacher said.

Dang it! It's been almost 3 years and now suddenly Sabrina is back in my life? Why, God, why?

Her blue eyes caught mine and she winked jokingly. I rolled my eyes and moved beside her. She patted the seat on her left as if I was a dog or something, which made me roll my eyes even more.

"What's up, Clarke? Still watching mystery TV shows?" she said.

"Look, Bryan, we may be working on a case together and we may be working on a project together, but that doesn't mean we are friends again. Not after what you did to me. I am not gonna put up with your shit," I snapped.

My intention was to make her make her back off, even if I did want to be partners with her in a way, cause I missed her, but Sabrina just smirked. "Oh, we're cursing now, are we? This might not be so bad, after all. Maybe you could learn a thing or two from me."

I sighed. "Forget it, ok? Now let's get to work. What do you want to do the project about?"

We ended up deciding on love, from Romeo and Juliet, because why not? It's an easy topic and we get an A+ easily. The thing is, I want to work with Sabrina, but at the same time I don't. I miss my best friend, but the Sabrina Bryan that is sitting beside me is not my Sabrina. She's changed.

I was about to ask her when would we meet today to go to the cabin when the bell rang and everyone ran out the class. I was about to do so too when Sabrina grabbed my hand. "Hey, Maya, why don't we meet at my place tonight? Your crew and mine, ok? At 9."
