LEGO NINJAGO - My lover became a lizard -

The sunset

Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Orlando, Davenport AND Lobby all made it to the house in about 20 minutes of receiving the text. They rushed through the door calling for Lloyd.
"Lloyd?! Where are you?!" Shouted Kai. 
"In the basement!" Lloyd replied. 
The group sprinted to the basement door, well, the ninja, the other 3 stayed on the outside, to see Lloyd laying alongside the dead animal, almost hugging it. 
"Lloyd..? What are you doing?" Kai asked, rather confused and slightly disgusted, it was a dead animal after all, not exactly the sort of thing you want to be touching. 
"It's my mom." Lloyd said rather bluntly. 
"What? What are you going on about?" Jay butted in. "That's a monster, not your mother!"
"Yes it is! I know why Olivia was taken! I know why all of this is happening! I know this is her! I know!" Lloyd stood up, standing his ground. "Read this. I don't think I can handle reading it again." He grabbed the letter and passed it to Kai. 
The group read it through. Their expressions changing throughout reading from shock, disgust, sadness and back to shock. Lloyd sat back down alongside his mother. 
"Holy shit." Kai said, jaw dropped. "I.. I can't believe this."
Cole was silent, horrified, realising he shot Lloyd's mother. He stepped back slightly, unsure of what to do. Was Lloyd mad at him? 
"Lloyd.. I'm so sorry.." Cole mumbled, looking down at the dead body. 
"Sorry for what? Killing my mom? Yeah." Lloyd growled, turning away from him.
"I had to! I'm sorry!"
"You HAD to shoot her, huh? There was no other way?" Lloyd then got up once again, fists clenched, almost shouting.
"Yes I did! She was about to rip you and the others to shreds! Plus I obviously didn't know! That thing?! That isn't your real mother! Just a heavily genetically modified version of her. Sure she has her DNA but you cannot deny that she was a dangerous monster! Who knows how many people she killed?! What if she killed us?!" Cole was tearing up but clearly angered. "I was just trying to keep us all safe! You're acting as if I shot your actual mother!" 
Lloyd was silent for a while. "Right." He stormed off upstairs, leaving everyone down in the basement alone in an awkward silence.
Everyone looked at Cole. 
"What? He was the one who came at me! I tried to say sorry!" 
"I know... I mean I agree but now wasn't really the time to argue like that.. He must be feeling awful right now.. I know you only mean to protect us but you shouldn't of been so harsh on him" Zane sighed, walking over to Cole. "You should go apologise.."
"Yeah.... You're right... I may have went a bit overboard... I just.. I don't want him to be feeling like he could have prevented this, saved her. It was impossible but he should also know his mother is out of pain now.. Watching her thrash around that room was dreadful."
"Yeah guys.. before anything we should probably figure out what to do with this body." Jay added in.
"I think that's up to Lloyd in my opinion.." Zane replied.
"Yeah I guess you're right.. Anyways Cole please go apologise so we can put this behind us and get rid of this stinkin' dead body!" 
Cole nodded and hopped up the stairs and went to look for Lloyd. He peeked through the backdoor and noticed him sat by the pool. Cole slowly slid the door open and walked over to Lloyd, taking a seat next to him. The two sat in silence for a minute or so before Cole decided to speak up.
"Lloyd.. I'm really sorry about what I said.. I know it was really uncalled for, you must be going through quite a lot right now and I didn't really help.. I was real shitty and my emotions just took over me, y'know? I just want to make sure our friends and family is safe from harm.. I'm really sorry about this whole thing. I know what it's like to lose your mother so fast and feel helpless about it.. but that letter, she accomplished her goal right? To tell you what happened to her and what's happening to others.. She's helped us so much with this case just from doing that.. Who knows how long we'd of spent trying to figure out what she already knew. Like she said, she died doing all of Ninjago a favour by getting that message out to us.. I'm sure she doesn't want you dwelling on her, she wants you to bring some justice to Ninjago." Cole put his arm around Lloyd. "I only want the best for you and everyone, I understand if you're still unhappy with me, It's okay but we need to begin working on this case.. We need to bring an end to this monster ordeal and the only way we can do that is together." 
Lloyd looked at Cole and smiled slightly. "I guess I'll have to forgive you sooner or later.. You're right.. We need to stop whoever is doing this.. I'm still a little upset but I guess beating up some bad guys always brightens my mood"
"Hah, yeah, I can agree with you on that. But serious question, what do you want to do with her body?" 
Lloyd sighed "I think a burial would be nice. Somewhere in the mountains.. though I don't know how we'd get her there.. She never told me what she wanted to happen to her.. Though if one day someone was digging for some reason and stumbled upon her bones then that wouldn't be a good situation.... Can we cremate her somehow? I can spread her ashes in the mountains." 
"Of course, you can do whatever you'd feel best.. I'm sure cremating would be a little easier though considering we have Kai, it's not like we could take her to the local crematorium." Cole said, getting up from his seat. "Well. We better go sort this whole thing out then, huh?" He extended his hand, offering to help Lloyd up from the ground. Lloyd grabbed Cole's hand and hauled himself up. 
The two walked indoors and over to the rest of the group who had moved from the basement to the now destroyed dining room. 
"So. Everythin all good?" Kai asked.
"Yeah.. I think we're on good terms" Lloyd smiled slightly. "Kai, can you help me cremate my mom?" 
"Oh- I.. Yeah of course. I'm not sure how but I could probably figure it out.. It can't be too difficult surely. Let's go check her body out and see what to do." Kai and Lloyd headed down to the basement.
"You three" Zane directly spoke to Orlando, Lobby and Davenport "You don't really need to be here right now, we're just going over some things, plans and stuff. You can all head back to the motel, we will text or call Davenport if we need anything, okay?" 
"Yeah, of course Zane. Let's go you two." Davenport nodded and lead the two out the door and they began walking back to the motel which was thankfully not too far from the house. 
"That was reaaaaal awkward..." Orlando shrugged.
"It happens all the time, they constantly have fights and breakups between each other but their friendship is just so great they always end up fixing it, the longest two have ever been in a 'fight' was about a week and I'm certain it was over something trivial like I dunno, Cole took the last protein bar or something. I dunno, it's always happening.. But yeah, that was a bit heavy than those sort of situations usually are.. I feel really bad for Lloyd, oh trust me his mother was a dreadful woman but at the end of the day she was still his mom and they did love each other very much despite the fights and arguments they always had. Lloyd had a troubled upbringing from what I've heard. I've only worked for them for a few years ongoing now but I do hear a lot of things. I don't snoop of course, that's rude but boys are so very loud." Davenport went on, just talking. She was really opening up to Orlando now. 
"Jeez you really are talkative sometimes! Though not as much as me, no one could ever be as chatty as me. I could go on for hours and hours, I'm sure you know that by now though" Orlando laughed. "Hey Lobby, you've been pretty quiet? You alright?"
".... Oh.. Yeah. I'm fine, I just don't feel too good. I'm glad they asked us to leave, it was so uncomfortable being so close to that monster.. I know that it was Lloyd's mother but I can't dismiss what that thing put me through... It's changed me so much and not for good, I am half of what I used to be.. I'm always on edge and terrified. It took the best thing in my life away from me.. I just want her back.." Lobby began tearing up. 
"Oh.. I'm. I'm sorry for asking, please don't cry! Your feelings are one hunder-ed percent valid and okay! You shouldn't feel bad for hating that creature, everyone has different experiences in life and have different approaches, it just so happens that animal wronged you and so you have every right to not like it no matter who or what it is or was, ya get me?" Orlando gave Lobby a hug, picking her right up off the floor. 
Lobby accepted the hug, not attempting to writhe out of her grip and just embraced it, it felt nice. "Thank...Thank you Orlando.. I just.. Hate that thing so much..." Lobby sighed.
"And that's okay!" Orlando then let Lobby down, carefully placing her back on the floor.
"If it's okay I'm going to go shopping and get some food..." Lobby pointed to a nearby supermarket.
"Yeah sure thing, you know where the motel is right? Well. I'll give you my number, anything happens just let me know okay?" Davenport swiftly got out he phone and gave Lobby her number. "Ok, see you later, stay safe ok?"
"I will!" Lobby waved as she walked off in the opposite direction. 
"Well.. That leaves just you and me" Orlando grinned at Davenport, nudging her with her elbow. 
"To do what? Watch boring T.V shows in a motel room?" Davenport groaned.
"Oh lighten up, Davey. I'm just tryna lighten the mood, we've been surrounded by negativity and fear for the past 24 hours, let's distract ourselves, it's not like we really have anything to do with stopping some evil guys, though i'd totally kick their asses. We survived hell last night, we should try and just relax!" Orlando smiled, slapping Davenport playfully on the back, not hard obviously. "Why don't you show me some cool stuff in the city? Not a spa though. You can't get me in one of those."
"Yeah.. I guess so, we can do that. I'm also pretty hungry so we can get something while we're out." 
The two got back to the motel and went into their room. Orlando took a seat on the bed. 
"I'm going to go shower quick. I won't be long." Davenport said before hopping into the bathroom and shutting the door. 
Orlando sighed, laying on the bed, having nothing to do. Oh. What about TV? Orlando didn't know how to use it though... Let's go ask Davenport. She got up from the sofa and crept over to the bathroom and opened the door. 
"Davenport?" She said, casually.
"ORLANDO!!!" Davenport shrieked, pulling the shower curtain in front of her. She poked her head out from the side. "What are you doing?! You can't just do that!" 
"I don't know how to use the TV or the remote" Orlando didn't really care about whatever Davenport was saying, she just wanted to know how to work the TV.
"Im- Oh my goodness... I can't help, I'm trying to shower.." Davenport sighed, red in the face. "You didn't see anything... Did you?" 
"What? Oh, no. A bug on the ceiling caught my attention so I was too busy looking at that, rather than you. Not that you have a bad body or anything! I just don't like bugs!" Orlando panicked, not wanting to sound rude or anything, no, she wasn't saying Davenport wasn't good looking to the point she'd much rather look at an insect, in fact the only thing she really wanted to do was look at Davenport. Orlando stood there for a few seconds of silence, not sure what else to say. 
"Well... Can you close the door now?" Davenport asked, still hiding behind the shower curtain. 
"Yeah okay." Orlando walked into the bathroom and shut the door behind her. 
"Orlando?" 
"What?" 
"WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING IN HERE!" Davenport wailed. 
"I dunno, it feels nice in here. I can't explain it." Orlando didn't seem too fazed by Davenport shouting. Her fur fluffed up and she began to pant slightly.
"What..?" Davenport poked her head out from the side of the curtain to see Orlando just sat there, eyes closed, peaceful. 
"I've never been in a room with a shower before. It's nice. Really hot but nice. How is that water not burning you?" Orlando opened an eye slightly. 
"Huh? Oh.. I dunno I just really like hot showers, I don't mind the hot water."
"Ah. Fair enough. Carry on, I promise I won't look! I'll even turn around. I just really like it in here. The smell, the heat, the air."
