SOUL EATER BOOK 2 (buttercup x butch)

Chapter 10

Buttercup walked slowly to her next class. Her eyes on the floor. She had to go to Mr. Clay again.
She slowly opened the door and everyone looked at her. Butch looked up and saw it was buttercup.
"Why are you late?" Mr. Clay asked as he stood behind his desk.
Buttercup didn't feel like answering so she just shrugged.
Mr. Clay told her to sit in front of Butch and she did. No fight....no hesitation....no snarky reply.. nothing.
Class went on and everyone kept staring at buttercup, kept whispering and kept laughing.
Butch was tired of feeling sad and angry so he did nothing. Cause if he got to close to buttercup....he would get hurt all over again.
Buttercup put her head down, inside her crossed arms on the desk and closed her eyes. She tried to sleep but all she could do was silently cry.

The bell rang for everyone to go home and she stayed laying down till everyone left the class. She got up slowly no longer caring she was alone with her teacher.
She was about to open the door when her teacher told her to wait.
She felt him come up behind her and put his hands on her waist. His face behind her ear...
"We haven't had time to have some time alone in a while...wouldn't you agree?" He whispered in her ear as he reached over and locked the door.

She wanted to cry , wanted to fight and scream but she couldn't. She couldn't find the energy why to. No one would save her, so why would she save herself?

Mr. Clay had left about 20 minutes ago. She stayed on the floor with her clothes put on messily and she just stared at the wall in front of her on the other side of the room.
As she stared a tear fell from her eye.

"Have you seen buttercup?" Bunny asked Bell.
They were getting ready for bed and still no sign of their sister.
Bell looked up from her phone.
"What? No."
Bunny stared freaking out along with Bell.
Bell looked up suddenly
"Call butch."

Ri-

"Hello?"

"Butch!" Bunny said

"What?" He said numbly

"Have you....have you seen buttercup?" She asked

"Hmm? No, last i saw her was in class"

"Why?"

"She isn't home yet..."

"I'm coming."

Not even a full 5 minutes passed and butch was at their door. His hair messy and he had a white t shirt and black sleep pants.
He looked at Bunny and saw she was freaking out, Bell too.
"Hey hey hey...calm down and tell me why your so freaked."
Bunny looked at him as if he just slapped her.
"Are you kidding? Butch buttercup is missing! She's not picking up her phone at all...she's in a bad place right now-"
She was cut off by butch scoffing
"Yeah shes in a bad place."
Bell snapped

"If you don't care then why'd you come? You don't even know what happened! You did what you did the first time y'all broke up and listened to AMY who has been after you and been out to humiliate buttercup! She's broken! She's totally numb and your taking Amy's side! One day your gonna wake up and realize you lost an amazing girl! And you helped break her!"
Bell screamed with tears running down her face.
Butch was shocked along with bunny

But butch realized she was right.

He looked at the girls and said

"Let's go find her."

They ran into the school screaming her name

"Wait! The last class....Mr. Clays room!"
They ran over there faster than ever.
Bunny was the first to go in and she stopped dead in her tracks and immediately started sobbing.
Bell was next, she was about to comfort Bunny, but then she saw what she was looking at and started crying as well.
Butch then came too and saw wat they saw. His eyes widened and his eyes filled with tears.
There buttercup was, alive...yes and no. She was breathing, but if you looked in her eyes she was dead.
She didn't look at them when they came in, didn't look when they stayed crying and didn't look when they all started slowly going over to buttercup.
"B-buttercup, sweetie...can you look at me?" Bunny said as she cupped buttercups face.
Buttercups eyes flicked to her but nothing else moved.
Bell went to sit next her an skated her embeds in her big sisters shoulder.
Butch sat in front of buttercup and cupped her cheek with one hand.
Buttercup looked at him and tears filled her eyes.
"I-I didn't want it..."
She said in a weak voice.
Butch starts crying
"I-I kno-know baby....i know."
