(15) Thanos

[Third Person's View, Sunday]

Wanda paced around the room as Shuri worked her way into the mind stone. They already knew that someone was coming for ig, and it it stays on his head, he'll die. Vision has already suggestes that Wanda should destroy it, knowing that she is capable of controlling an infinity stone. Wanda was againts this, it burned deep sorrow into her heart just thinking of it. She can't look at Vision right now, he looked so helpless to her. The room was silent as troops started to get ready down at the field.

Shuri sensed the tension in the room, so she tried to crack a joke. "Y'know, if we put him in rice, that might work." Wanda and Vision only looked at her, confused. She sighs and focuses on her work again. "Nevermind." Wanda sighs as she looks out the window, fear lingering inside her. "How long is this gonna take?" She asks and Shuri shrugs. "It's going to take a little longer." Wanda looks down and Vision looks at her.

"If you just do it right now-"
"No, I can't."

"I won't feel anything." He says as he tries to convince her, but she only snaps back at him. "That's because you'd be dead." The words roll off of her tongue like a venom, but it hurt her more than it hurt him. She's already lost so much people, she can't lose him too. Vision still can't comprehend why Steve was also againts this idea. Yes, he had a chance. But time was ticking, any moment now and Thanos can and will arrive.

And speaking of the devil, the army has arrived.

Giant structures land outside Wakanda's borders, and moments later, it's pure utter chaos. Wanda watched from above, seeing the battle go beneath them. She needed to be there, they needed her help. She looks at Vision and sighs. "You two stay here, I'll be back for the stone when it's ready." She says as he heads for the door. "Wanda." Vision calls out to her and she looks at him. "Be careful." He says, trying not to wince as Shuri continued to work. "I will." She smiles as she exits the room. Once she is in the field, she spots the Threshers that are about to crush Okoye and Natasha. She quickly propels herself over them, landing perfectly in front of the two. Her eyes then glow red, her hands eminating pure power. She levitates both of the threshers and looks back at the Outsiders coming to attack them, she then smashes it at them, killing a good amount of Outsiders.

Wanda looks at them, checking if they were safe. Okoye and Natasha both look up at her. Okoye frowns as she spins her spear. "Why was she up there all this time?"
