"You're up kid," Those were the first words Don heard as he awoke to pain originating from his side. Whoever woke him up did so with a kick to the kidneys.
"For what?" Don groaned, rubbing his eyes and scratching his still messy hair until he managed to get it in order. He took one sniff and nearly vomited, it smelt like someone hadn't showered in a few weeks...at the least.
"A fight. You're to 'entertain' the slaves. No, more like, be an example of what happens when you're disobedient," The guy's voice was deep and uncaring, giving off the impression that he was looking at trash.
"Fine... I'll go," begrudgingly Don consented, realizing if he disobeyed he'd get a repeat of before. He lifted his face off the cold floor and got to his feet, stretching his arms and legs that felt stiff like he hadn't used them in a long time even though he could only do so much thanks to the shackles they apparently put him in. As he did this he glanced at the tag of the man who woke him up. "SL INC#3548," Don mumbled under his breath, taking notice of the fact that the tag looked brand new. "New number? Wonder what happened to the old one." He let out a little taunt as he passed by the behemoth but received no response in return. "Alright, I know who I'm gonna beat up later. But, first thing's first." Don was then led into a large stadium after a few seconds of walking, getting dumped into some sort of waiting room and got his shackles removed.
"Ladies~ and~ Gentlemen~! Workers of all~ ages~! Put your hands together~, as our shepherd commands~, else you'll be deader than the loser of this match for tonight's Deathmatch~!" The announcer's voice boomed through multiple speakers set up around the arena. The crowd, on the other hand, seemed to consist of either mutes or other slavers, as it was quite obvious which of the two would be happy for such an event. "Tonight's match will 'freeze' you to your seats as we have Lui, a strong~ young man with fierce~ dominion over ice." At the mention of his name, yet another hulking mass of muscle made its appearance at the north side of the circular arena. "Facing him is a newcomer~, a little lamb named Don!" the announcer continued. Hearing his name, the boy watched as the wall in front of him began to lift itself into the ceiling, and he found himself on one side of a stone path that led to a large stone platform.
"Holy crud he's huge..." Don squeaked as the towering Lui stood across from him.
"I'm gonna crush you boy," Lui sneered, stomping his foot on the ground and punching his hand. It resulted in a very meaty *smack* come from the man's direction.
"I don't think so," Don fired back, filled with a new confidence that surged out of his adventurous spirit.
"Oooo the lamb already thinks he's a ram~. Let's find out if this little tyke can walk the walk after talking the talk! Combatants~! Are you ready~! Three! Two! One~! BATTLE~~~"
Right out the gate Don quickly started throwing a barrage of wind cards at Lui. They all hit their mark but the man stood tall and still. "Oooo it seems that the little lamb has a gift of the wind, but even with hit after hit, Lui seems unharmed," The announcer energetically commentated, seemingly more into the fight than the actual fighters themselves.
"That little breeze won't hurt me, I'll freeze you to death where you stand," Lui boasted throwing his head back and chuckling.
"Oh, then this will," Don said in a much darker tone as he dashed forward, the dirt from his shoes being blown off as he went. Right as he reached Lui, the boy changed direction and leaped into the air, swinging with a fist wrapped in dense air to pull off a beautiful uppercut, accelerated by the gale to dangerous speeds. Thanks to his arrogance, Lui took that square on and with his head snapping back he backpedaled to stay on his feet. If it wasn't for the fact that Don was a child, that blow would've ended the fight there and then as even now Lui could feel his consciousness blinking like it'd go out.
