6. Dinner Time

Once you arrived, the buffet already started. There were noodles, chicken, salmon, literally everything you could eat. The only places remaining were being faced and were next to your friends'. You sat beside Y/B/F who was talking with Y/F. Once she realized you were there, she started to ask you weird questions.

"Where were you? I thought you were following me. You found Jaemin? Oh, something happened?" she said excitedly.

Mark seemed embarrassed so he kicked your best friend's leg with his foot under the table which she answered by a groan. You glanced at Jaemin who was also looking at you but he quickly got back to his food.

"Man, there's no more noodles!" Jaemin complaint to Mark.

"You just had to come earlier" Mark shrugged.

"Hyung, I was lost!"

"You can have some of my noodles if you want" you casually suggested.

Jaemin looked at your skeptically but gladly accepted the offer. You put the things separing you aside to put the bowl of noodles in the middle. Sharing food with him was weird and the uncomfort was clear by the silence between the two of you. You tried to ignore as much as possible your friends fangirling over you and Jaemin by eating. What you didn't know was Jaemin was dealing with the same situation as you. Soon enough, the bowl was almost empty. Jaemin and you were about to finish it but the noodle you both picked happened to be the same. Once you looked up, you both widened your eyes letting go of the noodle.

"Sorry" you said at the same time.

"I think I should go back, I'm sleepy" you said getting up heading to your room.

Your friends excused themselves and followed you.

Once inside the room, yells from your friends were the only thing you could hear.

"Okay, first of all, what the hell was that?" Y/F asked.

"Since when are you so kind with Na Jaemin?" Y/O/F added.

"And why did you left him alone, poor guy!" you best friend finished.

"Jeez, calm down! It's not a big deal" you sighed.

"It is, Y/N! You were in the middle of a moment with your crush--" Y/F started.

"He's not" you denied.

"Whatever! And then you just left?" she continued.

"I panicked, okay? It happens sometimes..."

"You're being really stubborn. Just think about how you feel towards him because it doesn't like it's hate from us" Y/O/F said rubbing your back.

Jeno's POV

"What are you doing? Go chase her!" Chenle yelled.

"Nice, Chenle. Go tell the whole country while we're here" Jaemin rolled his eyes at his friend being too loud.

"No, seriously, you gotta make a move" I said.

"What are you talking about? It's just Y/N" he said digging back into his dish.

"Do you like her?" Jisung said so innocently.

Jisung is Jaemin's weakness. When asked like this, Jaemin can't lie to him. He is too cute and innocent to him to lie.

"I- I guess" he admitted. "She's not available, though"

"What makes you think that?" Donghyuck asked.

"She doesn't like me. She said herself 'I'm independent enough to be in need of a lover in my life' " he quotted Y/N.

"That was last year when all of her friends got their boyfriends and asked why she doesn't have one" I precised.

"Last year or not, she said it. Anyway, it's just a slight crush. It's gonma fade away"

We all looked at him weirdly.

"What?" he said.

"Jaemin, a slight crush doesn't last for 2 years" Mark said quietly.

"Whatever... she hates me, anyway"

"She doesn't" I whispered.
