Chapter 1 zap apple jam

"WAKE UP!" I shouted, as Big Macintosh rolled out of bed. I nudged Big Mac all the way to the south field until he began to gallop only now realising it was the day of harvesting the zap apples.

"Rainbow should be here any second" i said shortly after harvesting zap apples from a tree. This was the first year we had trusted rainbow dash to harvest the whole field, but she new how much this meant to us.

With each passing second I wondered when she would show then suddenly a brightly coloured mare with a soft mane landed harshly on the ground in front of me. It was rainbow dash she stood tall and proud and immediately began to fly through each row of the field, the force of her flying was enough to harvest the zap apples from the trees."done I told you I could break the record"

"Excuse me sugarcube not to burst your bubble in all but there was never a record anyways" I replied.

"Yeah because I just smashed it hahaha" rainbow chuckled.

I gathered some ruby delicious apples (our best apples) and headed to the east field.

We sat there and ate two whole buckets of ruby delicious before we even started a real convosation. we lay full on the uncut grass in the shade of two apple trees in a silence just staring up into the apple tree branches above us when suddenly rainbow dash broke the silence with a burp we snortled and giggled uncontrollably until rainbow rolled me down the hill to which I responded by dragging her with me.

For a while we playfully shoved each other around until we were both left panting on the ground. I felt my head there was no hat I turned quickly to see Rainbow Dash wearing it. I went to grab it but she flicked it off her head and caught it in her mouth.

"T'aint fair rainbow give it here" I commanded

"Not until you answer my question." She teased

"Okay, okay what is it then?" I rolled my eyes playfully

"We'll you see that's the thing, I'm scared too..."

"Your not telling me that the rainbow dash of equestria is afraid are you?"

"No not at all its just it might be embarrassing that's all" she blushed and dug her hoof into the ground.

She didn't finish her question instead we walked to the area where we lay under the apple trees and blushed harder still gripping my hat but tighter than before...
