Dear Papa,
I wanted to tell you something hilarious. But that is what helped me realize some good things. I know I'm way too old to talk about stuff like this, but recently I haven't been getting much attention from Mamma... I think it runs in her family! Always giving first priority to other people!! Naina has come from Paris. And as usual, Mamma forgot all about her sweet little daughter.. I came back from school and found them having a gala time. Mamma had planned to take her to the mall. She asked me if I'd like to come. I obviously wanted a break from all the school work. So I said that I'd join in.
One hour later we were shopping for some highly idiotic gowns. What on earth was I doing here?! Leave that. The sweat shirt which I'd been bragging for has never been bought, but this girl just pops up for a few days and she gets all that she wants? Well I didn't care about it much.
But I was still angry with Naina cause' she'd taken up all of Mamma's attention. So when we came back home, and she offered to help me with my homework, i refused to it, rather rudely. That made her kinda sad and she, being an angelic character, wouldn't tell Mamma what her little Devil had done, and so, she had to dig the matter out.
And now, I've been grounded for a whole week for behaving rudely with a guest. But what I gained out of all this was, realization through the words you once said.
" When your parents take care of others more than you, it means that they trust you enough to take care of yourself, while they have to attend to people who don't have the exemplary capability YOU do!"
I realized that Mamma trusted me and that was why she left me to take care of myself. And that ends the matter there. :D
Yours ever Lovingly,
Alu <3
