Angel P.O.V

"you want some food," Diamond asked Ski. "What. Food. yes please," Jah and I said even though she wasn't speaking to us. "I didn't ask all of y'all," Diamond said.

"Sooo your point is...", I said pausing waiting for her to speak, but she didn't. "good that's what ai thought now what are we gonna eat," I said. "Some McDonalds please," Ski said smiling.

2 hours later

After we finished eating Diamond and Ski went to the mall. I wanted to go but Jah wanted time to go with him somewhere. Ski dropped us at home and left so we could drive Jah's car.

We were now in his car on the way to wherever we were going. "Jah where are we going?" "To my moms house I wanna pack up Aiden's stuff and tell her he has passed," he responded not moving his eyes from the road.

We pulled into a really ruff looking neighbourhood, but I don't really care. After driving for a few more seconds he stopped in front of a brown house. The stairs were painted white but the paint was chipping.

We got out the car and I looked around me. There were kids running around in the streets, double dutching, and playing marbles. Down the street I saw a table with a few older men and women playing dominoes.

Jah sighed, "well let's get this over with." He walked up to the house and knocked on the door as I followed. A brown skin women opened the door, she was wearing a black tight dress, while her hair was straight.

"Hi," Jahseh said looking at the ground. "Hey baby, who's this," she said giving Jah a hug and he hesitantly hugged back. "This is my friend Angel," he said pointing at me.

"Hi Angel nice to meet you," she said while shaking my hand and I gave her a fake smile. We walked in the house and looked around the place was a mess. "Ma how come your all dressed up nice but the house isn't taken care of."

"And there's no food here," Jah said looking at her confused. "Well I don't really need food since Aiden isn't here," she simply said. "Do you know where he is," his mom asked us.

'How is he gonna tell her? how is she gonna react?' I thought to myself. "Nope, how do you not know where he is," I asked her. She looked at the floor in embarrassment and slowly shook her head no.

"Well ma you wanna know where he is," Jah said and she nodded her head. "Well he's in the morgue, he's dead."

"Oh shit, really. That's really sad," she said blankly with no expression. "Wait you don't care do you," I asked. "Nah I mean he wasn't really anything special."

When she said that I immediately wanted to knock the fuck outta her, I felt my face getting more and more red from being angry.

I looked up and noticed Jahseh had a very angry facial expression but he looked a little disappointment. "How could you say that, he's your son," I said looking at
her eyes.

"I don't know it just doesn't make me feel any type of way, like it's sad he died but it doesn't affect me," she said simply shrugging her shoulders. I kept on getting angrier and angrier by the second.

"Ma, so if you're behaving like this over Aiden does that mean if I die you wouldn't care," Jah asked her. I looked at Jah and his hands were shaking and he was tapping his leg on the ground.

"Both of you haven't done anything for me," she said. "I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING, you don't remember when I would bring you money and food just so you and Aiden can live," Jahseh said getting angrier.

"Ok Ok come on let's go Jah," I said to him pulling him outside of the house. I walked him all the way to the car and I want to say something but he wouldn't look at me.

I tilted his head up at me and looked at him as he did me. His eyes were filled with so much pain and anger that I could tell it would take a long time to help him.

I engulfed him in my arms and hugged as he just stood there, "it's ok Jahseh, I'm here and your gonna be ok," I whispered.

"How do you i'm going to be ok?"

"Because i'm here to help you, plus I have a surprise for you."
