A man
So highly esteemed
By my mother
Who "provides" and "protects"
My person but
Not my well being
The use
Of his words
Are so violent
To head and heart
And soul but
He will never stop
Father speaks
And tells me
That this is
For "love" and "care"
But he lies
To me each time
The attack
On our relationship
Has many scars
Too deep and painful
To patch up
It is his fault
