Nope. You're not dreaming love. It's an update!!!!😊💃💃💃

Phanie's POV

"I'm telling you I don't trust that girl". Sarah dug into her food. We were at a restaurant or should I say a dilapidated house by the roadside with lots of people eating both inside and outside: thats more like it. Both old and young, boy and girls, married and unmarried were all Here eating from over used plates and sitting on  brown plastic chairs. I could bet my ass those chairs were white before.

"Tara is perfectly okay. Only that she hangs out alot". I shrugged as I ate slowly. Everyone was staring at me, even the waitress showed her 47 sets of teeths: yep they were very plenty and they were not very white I tell you.

"Hangs out keh". Sarah raised both eyebrows and opened her mouth "She sluts around. Ha ahn what did that girl give to you that you cant see how bad she Is?. Did she poison you with that beans?. Tell me now o if it brainwashed you cause a normal human being knows bad when they see it". She licked her fingers and then dug it into the last piece of white mould which she dipped into a leafy soup afterwards. I don't get Nigerian people and their foods.

"She did not poison me for the tenth time and hanging out is not bad. It depends on who and where you're hanging out with". I dropped my spoon, I was tired of the rice or maybe I was tired of Sarah.

"Babes. In this country it doesn't matter. We have traditions and beliefs. Once you go about day and night, half dressed and not working what are you After?. Ehn?. That girl is a prostitute". Tara washed her hands in the Stainless bowl kept on the table.  The water changed colour immediately and I felt like puking.

"Sorry. It's my fault that I told you". I said to her. Let me explain things to you but don't judge me. You remember when Tara offered to take me Out?. To celebrate on my job?. Well she asked again and I was tired of declining so I said yes. And I'm going out with her today. I only told Sarah today cause I know she wouldn't agree to it and then I needed someone to watch out for me. What if i was kidnapped?.

"Ah ahn now. Don't do like that". She pouted as she cleaned her hands with a wipe.
yeah she carries baby wipes with her in her bag. Weird right?.

"How won't I act like that when you don't support my decisions". I crossed my arms while Sarah fished for money in her bag. When she did she called the weird waitress and payed her which made her smile again.

We made our way through the stares and were walking down the road in search for a motorcycle. "Why are you quiet?". Sarah nudged me but I didn't budge. I was slapping my body constantly due to the mosquitoes feeding on me. It was almost sunset so they were all buzzing in the blocked drainage.

Sarah sighed "I'm sorry if I was too harsh but it's the truth. Girls like that should be avoided". She was gentle now but it still didn't melt the anger inside of me. I've made up my mind and I'm going either she likes it or not.

I checked my phone and it was 5: 27 pm which means I have less than two hours to get dressed. I don't even know what to wear or where we are going to.
"So you're not going to answer me now ko?". Sarah said but I payed more attention to the vacant oncoming motorcycle and I flagged it down.

"Lighthouse road". I told him and he nodded. I climbed onto the bike and waved Sarah leaving her shocked. I don't care anymore, she controls me too much and that is affecting my social life.

I alighted from the motorcycle and paid the driver. As I pushed open the rusty gate, I met mama chika and Tara in a hot argument. I groaned: not again.

"I go soon pour you hot water for this compound. Shamless thing. Ashawo". Mama chika clapped her hands together while one of the bachelors held her in place. She fought to meet Tara who on the other side was nursing her injured arm.
