I pushed through the crowd, desperately trying to reach Billie but to no avail.

They all loved her as much as me.

All I wanted was to compliment her voice - anything. I just need her to know I existed.

And before I knew it, Billie was being dragged off.

The swarm of people booed as they witnessed the angel flee the scene.

I however, could not give up so easily.

Urging my legs forward, I jogged up to the pair.

"Hey!" I called, hoping to catch her attention.

She turned around to look at me and her face smoothed into one of relief.

"Hello." She smiled softly.

Beside her stood a girl with charcoal hair, and dark skin as she watched me intently.

"Oh this is the girl you -"

Billie slammed her palm to the girl's mouth, silencing her.

My eyebrows scrunched in confusion.

"I'll be back to the cabin in a minute, G." Billie said quietly to the girl, hinting at wanting her to disappear.

"Okay, okay. I'll make myself scarce." The girl laughed.

I just watched the exchange amusedly.

"Just remember I ship it." G whispered not so subtly.

Billie playfully shoved the girl away.

"Giggle I swear. Go talk to Jess or something."

The girl's face immediately fell.

"I told you not to fucking call me that!" She complained, stomping away.

"I am so sorry about her." Billie turned back towards me, face flushed in embarrassment.

I waved it off.

"Ahah. No you're good." I smiled.

"I may have told them about seeing you in the cafeteria. . . - fuck, that sounds kinda creepy. Can we just - start over?" Billie stuttered, running a hand through her hair.

"That sounds like a solid idea." I chuckled, stretching my hand out for her to take. "Kimberly."

"Billie."

"So now that we're properly acquainted, can I just say you have a beautiful voice."

Her cheeks reddened and she looked down.

"Thanks."

"Have you ever thought of making a career out of it? You seriously have talent." I complimented.

"Me? Performing? Fuck no. Never in a million years." She laughed.

"Did you kiss this mystery girl?" Cierra asked, leaning closer to me from her bed.

I rolled my eyes.

"No. We just talked."

"Come on. There had to be something. Maybe a peck or -"

"Can you guys shut the fuck up?" Abby snapped, arms crossed.

We all looked at her, startled at the outburst.

"Someone's jealous that she got rejected today." Autumn hummed quietly.

I covered my mouth, gasping.
