Ashes POV
We had an all day bus ride. It was actually just a few hours but it felt like forever. The awkwardness was nearly unbearable. I was avoiding a touchy feely Andy. CC kept trying to talk to Jake who was clearly ignoring him. Jinxx was... Well Jinxx. He kinda talked to all of us. He kept texting someone. He wouldn't tell us who it was. He referred to the person as 'she'. At least he isn't gay. It was obvious that Jake was jealous and the whole CC, Ryan thing kinda confirmed that CC was gay. We were halfway to the Venue when CC finally cracked. He stopped pleading with Jake and started to yell. "I didn't sleep with him! You asshole. Why won't you listen! I was drunk so he took me to his bus because it was late and he wanted to make sure I was okay!" Everyone stopped and turned to look at them. Jake was on the couch but CC was standing over Jake. Jake stared up at CC without speaking. CC groaned and ran his hand thru his hair. "Why are you acting like this Jake. I thought we were best friends." CC started walk away when Jake finally spoke. "What if I don't want to be friends?" Jake stood and CC turned to look at him. "I'm tired of being your friend CC," CC looked back at Jake. "What is that supposed to mean Jake?" He asked. Jake looked down. "I like you CC and it hurts." Jake walked to the bunks and shut and I heard the lock click. "Oh we're here," Andy mumbled as the bus stopped. Nice Andy. Real nice.
We all shuffled off the bus with the exception of Jake. He still didn't come out of the room. "We should go get something to eat." I offered to break the awkward silence. Jinxx nodded. "Yea, why don't you three do that and I'll try to get Jake to come out." Jinxx leaned against the side of the bus. "Sounds like a plan," Andy smiled and put his arm around me. I surprised myself by leaning into it. It just felt natural. Jinxx raised an eyebrow at us but didn't question it. "Just grab some pizzas Yea?" He sad before turning and climbing onto the bus. I intertwined my arms with a unusually quiet CC. "You okay?" I ask him quietly. CC glanced at me and shook his head. "Jake hates me," he whispered. I made him face me. "He just admitted to liking you..." I trailed off. CC looked at me with red tinted eyes. "Its not what he said Ashes. Its how he said. Jake said it like he was giving up on me. Like he used to like me." CC shook his head. "I never noticed. How could I not know my best friend liked me?" The same way I didn't. I thought bitterly. "We all make mistakes from time to time. It's okay. Just make it up to him, okay?" I crossed my arms and bit my lip. "Do you even like Jake?" CC looked down and let out a shaky sigh. "No," he murmured. "Ashley... I love him."
