"like a fool, i'm thinking of you and another day passes." -everyday i love you
vivi pov
i was sat down on my coach, bundled up in a fluffy light pink blanket. the t.v. was turned on, playing god knows what.
i ignored the show in front of me and went on my phone. were there any chances that some place was open?
it was december 25th, at 5 pm.
i spent my holidays this year alone. it would be a good idea. i googled a place near me that was open at this time.
"love & live? a cafe. huh," i muttered to myself.
i climbed off the couch and went to my room, still wearing the blanket. i sighed and looked in my closet.
i took out a pair of blue denim jeans and a pastel pink sweater. i wore it and grabbed a long padded coat. i took my phone and keys, and put my black boots on.
i went outside and locked the door. instead of taking the car, i walked to love & live. it was around 10 minutes away by walk.
i approached the doors to love & live and went in. the warm air from inside hit me after i was out in the cold. i looked around the interior and it wasn't the largest place, but it was cozy.
i went to place my order. a girl in white apron was there. behind her was you. i focused back on the girl who took my order.
"hi! what can i get you," she greeted.
"could i have a latte for here? just a plain one?"
"of course! take a seat and i'll bring it over. that'll be $3.49," she told me.
i took a seat at one of the tables and waited. i went on my phone to see if anyone messaged me. no one... haha... sad.
while waiting i heard talking then yelling and screaming in the background afterwards.
"should i do latte art?"
"are you gonna mess it up?"
"probably."
"then no."
"you don't know until you try-"
"nO!"
the screaming continued and then stopped.
"... what are you doing and why," the feminine questioned you.
"was worth a try," you responded.
"move. the customer is waiting, you fool," she told you.
i giggled at your conversation quietly. a few more silent moments, excluding the music coming out of the cafe, the girl came up with my order.
"sorry for taking so long. we've had a little problem," she told me as she glared at you while placing my order in front of me.
you had this look on your face. your face was expressionless and your eyes were gazing off into the distance.
"i don't mind at all," i told her.
she smiled at me and i smiled back. she turned around and started walking back. at the corner though, i could hear her footsteps quicken, followed by scolding.
i took a sip from my latte. it was really good. not too sweet, but not too bitter. really creamy. i should come again.
i finished drinking my latte and got up to leave. as i was about to leave through the door, i heard,
