A.N. I actually like writing this story. Shocker I know.

It was two days later and everyone had fallen into a routine.

The Professor woke up at about six am and began to cook breakfast.

The others followed at about seven. They would all eat and make their ways to the living room to check the news.

Shortly after this, Bill and Alice would call Alice's mother. Paul and Ted would do whatever. Emma and Henry were still looking for a solution. They weren't close. At all.

And then there was the awkwardness between Ted and Hidgens. No one, besides Emma, knew what was going on. Well, Alice had an idea, but she wasn't sure. The two kept each other at, at least, an arms length.

They just didn't quite understand the attraction they felt towards the other. It was odd. Henry didn't think that he could feel this way. Certainly not about a younger man, but he did.

Ted on the other hand figured Emma would kill him if he made a move. He also wanted to make sure that he liked him when he was sober. Which he is. Has been for at least a day. He was sure he liked Henry, but wasn't sure that the professor would like a Sleezeball™ like him.

That leads us to where we are. Ted is playing cards with Paul, Bill, and Alice. Emma and the professor were in the lab.

The Card Game

"So, Ted, can I ask you a question?", Alice began slowly.

The man was surprised but nodded.

"Are you gay?", This was followed by a shocked, "Alice!" From Bill.
Ted found it funny. It was weird to see Ted laughing. He rarely has a real smile.

"No", He finally answered between laughs. Once he calmed down he asked, "Why?"

"You keep eyeing the Professor", She said like it was the most obvious thing ever.

Paul was at a complete loss. Ted had only dated girls as far as he knew. Not that he had a problem with it, it was just weird to him. He looked from his hand to Ted, who was bright red.

"Nope, not gay. Bi", The man said to Alice. She smiled and held up a hand to high five him. Which he accepted.

"Really?", Bill and Paul asked.

"Yes, Really. Is it that surprising?"

Bill and Paul began to think about the last few days. They couldn't deny that they caught Ted staring at the professor, occasionally.

"No, I guess not", Bill said.

Alice smirked, "Don't worry, Dad. You're just really oblivious to this type of stuff." She kissed his head and then left the room.

It immediately became awkward. There was a long silence until Paul broke it.

"Soooo, the professor?"

Ted face palmed.

The Lab

The two of them were taking a break. Emma took her chance.

"Professor?"

"Hmm?"

"Do you like Ted?"

This caused him to spit out the water he was drinking. He quickly regained his composure, wiped his chin off and turned towards her. "What?"

"Do. You. Like. Ted?", She asked as though talking to a child.

"He's alright. Not as big of a jerk as you say he is.", Henry said avoiding what she was actually asking.

"No, no, do you like like him?"

"Maybe", He didn't really understand his feelings. He had lived by himself for years and only left the house for errands and classes.

"What do you mean maybe?"

"I mean, I don't know. I think I do, but this is weird. It's just I get this weird feeling in my tummy when I'm near him.", Hidgens said, a blush creeping on to his face.

"So you do?"

"Yeah, yeah I do", He said nodding.

"Then why don't you ask him out?", Emma asked as though it was so easy.

"Because if he says no then I'll feel worthless. Plus he may not even like guys. He was with Charlotte wasn't he?"

"I don't know. I didn't know them that well", Emma admitting, "Also, how do you know he's straight?"

"I don't know. I just don't want to take the chance that he might be", The Professor admitted.

"I think it's worth a shot. Especially if you're just worried about the sexuality problem"

"Well, there's also the age difference", Henry said simply.

"It's not that big of an age difference, plus, you look just as young as he does", She said trying to cheer him up.

"Thanks. I like to dance, keeps me young", Henry said, "Do you really think this is a good idea?"

"Yes. Look, if you want I'll help you", She offered.

"You will?"

"Of course!"

He didn't respond. He just wrapped her up in a big hug. She was surprised, but she hugged him back. One they broke apart an idea struck her.

"So, you like dancing?", She asked with a wide grin.

"Yes. I also enjoy Musicals, but figured that none of y'all did", He said quietly.

"Let's focus on the dancing for now. I'll see you later", She called as she left the lab.

This is the most confused Henry Hidgens has ever been.
