Nova's Pov

"Oh my god I can't believe the dance is this Friday which means four more days till the best night ever, it feels like just two months ago we got into Rushmore Academy, am I right Nova?" Andy asked from the other side of my room while painting her nails on my desk.

"That's because we did come to this school two months ago Andy." I mumbled not taking my eyes off the laptop as I finished the fifth  paragraph of my history essay while resting on the head board of my bed.

"Yeah whatever smartypants, anyway have you seen Noah in his football uniform he is so hot." She said with a dreamy sigh and I could already see that dreamy twinkle in her eyes without even looking.

"Yeah thats just super." I said in a 'I don't care' tone while looking over my teachers emails.

"So.....," she trailed off and without even looking I knew she was already looking at me with her big chestnut eyes and I straight up knew what she was already going to ask.

"Absolutely not Andy, I am not going to that stupid party if that's what your thinking." I said while glancing up at her with a 'end of story' look.

"First of all its a dance and come on you can't expect to leave your best friend all alone to eat all the food by herself while gossiping about how fucking ugly Victoria that blonde bimbo is with her orange self and plus it's your birthday tomorrow what better way to celebrate it at the dance with hot guys surrounding us." She said with a giggle

"Honestly I just want to spend my birthday eating ice cream and watching River dale and how about you go with that Noah guy I'm pretty sure he'd love to go with you." I said truthfully. I mean Andy was stunning with her naturally curly dark brown hair and her big chestnut eyes that suited her heart shaped face and her gorgeous mocha skin that definitely complemented her perfect body and to top it off her spunky personality, what guy wouldn't want to go out with her.

She looked over at me like I've grown three heads.

"What I'm serious." I said while looking back at my laptop.

"He's a football player Noah and I'm.... well the nobody." She said sadly before placing the purple nail polish on my desk and just staring at her drying nails.

I looked up at her and sighed before putting my lab top to the side and getting up from the bed and walking to where she was sitting.

I grabbed her hands trying to avoid ruining her nail polish, the action caused her eyes snap up to mine to see them watery with tears.

"Your not a nobody Andy and I don't know what I could do to make you notice how incredibly beautiful you are inside and out, you don't know it yet but in a few years I won't be the one saying that but instead a handsome guy that isn't a football player and isn't Noah and he will be on his knee with a ring in hand and saying the same thing I'm about to say," I said before closing my eyes. I hate getting all sappy and everything but she's my best friend.

"No guy is worth your tears princess." I finished and she looked at me with the hugest smile and for a second I thought her face would break as she launched up from where she was sitting and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Your the best Nova, I don't know what I'd do without you and I hope you know how beautiful you are, you just don't embrace it." She said, her words muffled by my shirt. Your my best friend you have to say that.

I awkwardly pat her back with my hands as I wait till her tears faded until all I could hear was her hiccups and that's when she pulled back with that same smile.

"So, maybe you could rethink about going to the dance?" She asked with a hopeful gleam in her eyes.

I threw my head back and laughed loudly before looking straight in her eyes with no amusement.

"No" I deadpanned before walking back to my spot on the bed and put my lab top back on my lap and continued typing.

I hear Andy groan annoyed at my response before banging her head on the wall while whining about how annoying I was but I just ignored her

"What will it take for you to go to the dance?" She asked hopelessly while seizing her tantrum.

"Hmmmm let me think," I said tapping my chin and pretending a thoughtful look "Oh I know.....nothing." I said before looking back at my lab top and emailed some teachers back.

I hear her mumble something under her breath. I looked over to her to see her grinning like the Cheshire Cat with a thoughtful look on her face.

I raised an eyebrow at her silently asking what she said but she ignored me and sat down and continued to paint her nails with the grin still plastered on her face.

I shrugged it off while continuing to send teachers emails.

But something told me that Andy had something up her sleeve and when she did all hell breaks loose.
