"What do you want me to say, Scarlett? I don't know what you want from me anymore."

Lizzie should've known that going home would only result in more fighting, but she'd hoped that maybe things would go differently.

"I don't know, Lizzie. But this doesn't seem to be working anymore."

"I have been trying so hard for months and nothing is working. So what the hell do you want from me?"

Scarlett just shook her head, "I don't know."

"I flew halfway around the world, for this?" Lizzie snapped, "Maybe I should've stayed in Italy."

"Maybe you should've."

Lizzie held tightly to her daughter as she stepped out of the house, tears falling and sob breaking from her throat.

"Don't be sad, Mommy." Lily's voice was quiet as her tiny arms held onto Lizzie.

"I'm sorry, baby."
