"eh... so basically numeri has showed up in your world and since you were in the middle of it, you had no choice but to go to the void to prevent something even worse from happening and ended up in my world since it was the closest?" summarized saitama as he sat cross legged on his floor, mob sat across him in a kneeling position. Reigen was sitting on the couch as if it was his own and ekubo floated by mob trying to grasp the fact that the bald man in front of him can see the ghost without being a psychic.
The boy nodded. In all honesty, reigen couldn't grasp how the man got that whole scenario just from mob saying "numeri."
The bald man rested his cheek on his palm "hah, that's quite the problem" he stated although acted as if a child was telling him they just got a loose tooth and was panicking for their dear life.
Mob just nodded once again.
None of them opted to say another word, seemingly comfortable at the silence that the room was suddenly engulfed in.
Reigen had expected the two to discuss something judging from the weight of the situation that was spoken through lazed words but it seems, however, that the two had other plans. If he had known this fact then he would have prepared a topic of sorts to prevent them from falling into the dark pit of social akwardnes but having not gotten over the fact that they were in another dimension seemed to affect his usual smooth speach. Although he was handling the situation pretty well compared to any normal person, which he is anything but. Having mob as an apprentice can do things to your mental state.
Half lidded, uncaring eyes that revealed nothing stared at shielded eyes that held formality and respect. The two faced each other down, either refusing to lay down their mental walls that only the other seemed to be able to see through.
After a while, saitama finally spoke, breaking the thick silence "how are you sure the others have the same problem?" he asked as if the two had not gone into a deep silence, like the conversation was never cut off, almost making ekubo and reigen believe that they had gone deaf for a minute or it was their minds playing tricks on them.
"intuition"
"fair enough"
"so are we bringing them or are they gonna stay here?" asked saitama as he pointed at the two other guests of his humble abode.
"your world isn't exactly what you would call safe, won't they get killed by monsters?" stated mob.
Saitama took a moment of thought "genos could protect them" stated saitama after a few seconds.
"that cyborg?"
"yeah, they could hang with him"
"but he's a 'hero' right? wouldn't he be busy with all these beasts everywhere?"
"well, yeah, its not usually this busy though"
"effects of the distortions?"
"how so?"
"don't monsters in your world usually talk"
"yeah but that's not enough proof"
"but don't they seem familiar somehow? not from either of our worlds though"
Saitama stayed silent, trying to recall where he had previously seen these insect like creatures.
"look, saitama-san, I brought you something!" chirped a spiky, green haired male as he hid something behind his back.
"yeah?" was all the said male said as he stared at the child with the same deadpan expression he always wore.
He grinned as he handed the man a dead, rotting corpse of a giant insect, then ran away to a blonde who had a strikingly similar grin on his face.
