*Jaiden's P.O.V*
After a nurse came in and told us it was time to leave I hugged Ben tighter than I have. I was just so glad that he was going to be okay. We just had to help him.
I was sitting on a bench outside of the hospital with Keaton when he playfully pushed my shoulder.
"What was that for?"
"I'm your boyfriend now?
I felt my cheeks turn red and looked up at Keaton flashing his signature grin.
"I only said that to try and help Ben remember."
"Sure you did." He laughed as he talked.
I just turned towards him and pulled his face closer to mine. He closed his eyes and I took that as my cue to run away. He fell forward and I cracked up laughing. I started to run towards his car until I felt a pair of hands wrap around my waist. Keaton whispered that he's get me back for that and turned my head toward him and locked his lips with mine.
For the whole ride home I tasted his mint chapstick and the lemonade he got from the vending machine.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and opened my eyes.
"We're home my darling."
I laughed at Keaton's attempt to be sweet.
"Don't do that, it makes you sound so old."
He laughed and stretched across the seat to kiss my cheek. I smiled and stepped out of the car. I ran up my front steps as Rosie walked out on the porch.
"Oh my, Jaiden, you sure seem chipper."
"Hi Rosie. I'm sorry I just am happy Ben is going to be okay."
"Yes I am too. Your father is looking for you in the family room. You should hurry there."
I was confused as to why Rosie was talking like that, usually she talks to me like a friend. I shrugged it off and walked in the house. Keaton followed, but stopped in the kitchen for a water. I stepped into the family room and saw my dad with Chris's mom.
"Hey dad, what's up?"
"I have some news for you."
I looked at Chris's mom, who had her hands on her stomach. I felt sick to my stomach as I waited for my dad to continue.
"I know I just broke the news to you that I was seeing Justine, but the truth is we've been seeing each other for a while now. And you're going to be a big sister again."
I started crying, more so tears of anger than anything else. I spun around stormed through the kitchen and out the front door. I heard footsteps follow behing me but I didn't pay attention. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed Chris's number. On the third ring he answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey it's Jaiden."
"I know that, your name's still in my phone you know."
He paused for a second before continuing.
"Is everything okay? You sound kind of upset."
"Did you hear about our parents?"
"Yea they went on a date together tonight. I thought I told you that already?"
"Yea, well it wasn't their first date. We're going to be related now Chris. Our parents were hooking up while we were still together and now your mom is pregnant"
There was a pause on Chris's end of the line.
