*Jaiden's P.O.V*
I got in Cassie's car and my stomach was flipping over itself with fear.
"What's wrong with Ben?"
Cassie's breath started to catch in her throat as she held back tears.
"I don't know exactly what happened yet, but they reported injuries of staff that Ben caused. He doesn't want anyone near him, he's refusing the treatments. They asked for you but couldn't find a phone number,"
I wondered if there was enough time to get to the hospital. I just closed my eyes and watched all the buildings rush past me.
*Keaton's P.O.V*
After Jaiden and Cassie ran out, I just sort of stood in the kitchen with Justine and Chris.
"Do you know where the broom is? I'll pick up that plate."
Justine told me it was in the mud room closet so I went to get it. When I got back, Jaiden's dad was standing there looking at the broken plate on the floor.
"Who did this?"
He was rasing his voice and getting angry. Justine looked towards the floor. I know she loves Jaiden and she didn't want her to get in trouble but she also knew, Jaiden wouldn't want her to lie for her.
"It was Jaiden." Her voice was no more than a whisper.
If falmes could appear in your eyes, Jaiden's dad's eyes would be up in flames.
"Are you kidding me. Justine, are you okay? I don't know what's up with Jaiden."
"Yes i'm fine, but she had a good reason."
"Don't make excuses for her, Justine. She put you and our baby in danger. I can't forgive her for that."
Before Justine could say anything else he ran out the door.
*Jaiden's P.O.V*
I made it the hospital in time to calm Ben down and help the nurses treat him. On our way back, Cassie and I stopped for milkshakes and to talk. I sat down and looked at her.
"Are you scared?"
She took a deep breath and then shook her head no. I nodded and looked down at the table.
"Are you?"
I shook my head no and looked down again.
"Jaiden, do you actually like Keaton?"
Her question stunned me.
"Yes, I do. Why do you ask?"
"It just seemed kind of sudden. I didn't want him to be rebound. I know he really loves you."
"Cass, i've liked him for a while now. I just never knew what to do. I was with Chris and I loved him. I didn't want to lose him."
She just shook her head at me but I just let it go. I finished my milkshake and stood up. We rode in silence all the way back to my house. When we got back Keaton was sitting on the front steps. I walked up the driveway and sat down next to him.
"Hey, i'm going to run in and apologize to Justine about lunch. Have you seen my dad around?"
"Yea he's with Justine in his room."
I thanked him and stood up to go inside. I walked through the kitchen and saw the plate was still on the floor. I grabbed the broom that was sitting in the corner of the kitchen and swept it up. After throwing it in the garbage, I went up the stairs and knocked on my dads door.
