Loser.
Loser.
Loser.
LOSER.
Michael opened his eyes to see himself standing back in that bathroom, Jeremy looming threateningly above him.
He looked up in fear.
"Get out of my way...loser."
Jeremy shoved Michael to the ground, except he didn't crash into the tiles of the bathroom floor. Instead, he fell into an endless black abyss, the last thing he saw being the cold, unforgiving gaze Jeremy held for him.
Michael woke up in a cold sweat in his room. He was panting and heaving like he just ran a marathon. He stretched and checked the time.
6:27 am
Shoot, he thought. I forgot I still have school...
Michael must've finally mustered enough strength to exit the small bathroom last night and walk home. Of course he didn't remember any of it, but that was probably what had happened.
He was a absolute wreck.
His eyes were puffy and red from crying all night, his hair was a tangled mess, and it looked like Michael hadn't slept since birth.
He gave up on everything last night. No- HIS everything gave up on him. He didn't see a purpose on trying to save him now, nor how to.
"Michael? Are you getting ready for class Anak?"
One of his moms voice called out.Michael snapped out of his self-pity moment. "Ah-Yeah mom!" he yelled back.
He rolled out of bed lazily, and rubbed his eyes for a moment. 'Should I even go to school?' Michael thought . His best friend, and long time crush, had just left him. First word problems. Michael threw on his classic red hoodie, and slipped on his white sneakers.
He quickly brushed his teeth and washed the dirt off his face, before heading downstairs.
Good morning. He thought, time to start the day...
---
The dismissal bell sounded louder than usual. Students filed out of the classroom, some packing up or chatting with their group of friends.
Michael groggily stood up from his desk, while mumbling a 'goodbye' to the teacher. He stumbled his way into the hall, where he saw Jeremy...talking to Brooke.
His heart sank.
He couldn't make out what they were saying, but it's not like they'd be talking about him, anyways. Michael adjusted his headphones on his head and ignored him, just like how Jeremy had ever since the squip incident.
He tried his damn hardest to ignore him.
---
Michael couldn't carry on to his last period. Jeremy and his "cooler" friends were all in there, and that was something he didn't want to deal with right now. He instead ducked into the restroom, to take a breather.
He'd rather get a absent for that day than deal with Jeremy throwing kissy faces at Brooke and chatting loudly with jake or rich.
He slumped against the restroom stall and let out a hearty sigh. He let his eyes flutter close as he started to daydream and think about everything.
Him and Jeremy, out on a nice picnic under a tree, laughing and joking about absolutely nothing and everything at the same time. Jeremy's head on Michaels lap, as they talked and chatted for hours.
Jeremy's eyes shut tightly as his face scrunched up when he laughed, his chuckles sounding like god himself. Michael couldn't help but blush.
Michael stroked Jeremys soft locks as he gazed upon this angel laying in his lap. Jeremy looked up at Michael lovingly as he slowly reached up for a ki-
"AHEM" Rich boomed.
Michael snapped out of his daze and spun around to face Rich. Rich cocked an eyebrow up and Michael flushed. Rich turned back around and continued his business.
"O-oh hi ri-"
"What...what were you thinkin about man?" Rich asked, half curious but not bothering to face Michael. "Uhm-I was-"
"Let me guess" Rich inquired, not looking up from what he was doing. Michael fidgeted awkwardly.
Rich quickly glanced at Michaels disheveled appearance, before looking back down.
"Jeremy hurt your fweewings?"
Michaels head snapped up.
"Wha-thats-" Michael finally looked at Rich. "-very much ass...that's full ass and balls out there what the hell Ri-"
"You're heartbroken that Jeremy called a loser and now you're lost without him"
"What-"
"I can fix that, Michael"
Michael froze. this isn't a joke, isn't it? The world seemed to stand still around Michael.
"Do you know why Jeremy's so cool nowadays?"
Is Rich offering him a Squip?
"It's because of this little computer in his brain."
All he wanted was to have Jeremy in his arms again.
"I can give you one...for a little fee"
Buying a squip probably wasn't the best idea, but what else could he do?
"Yo-are you gonna let me talk or are you just gonna keep interrupting me with your gay shit?" Rich said, zipping up his pants. He then slapped himself.
"Do you have one on you right now? I could-I could pay you-" Michael rushed. He knew how dangerous a Squip was, but he was getting desperate. He needed Jeremy. He didn't care about the consequences. He needed him by his side.
More than he could possibly imagine.
"I-i....i need-I..." he fumbled over his words. Both joy and fear bubbled inside his body, making him frantically grab onto Rich in hopes that he'd somehow interpret his babbles.
"Calm down dude." Rich said, swatting his hands away. "Follow me."
Squip or no squip, he just wanted Jeremy back.
