Gu Wei Ting was waiting in his car parked in front of the main entrance of the hospital. After the meeting with Zhou Ling Yun, Gu Hai had gone to the pharmacy to get some meds he was running low on.
The General continued to stare out the window, hoping to see his son soon so that they could leave. Gu Wei Ting had important matters to tend to back at the army base. The only reason he tagged along to this meeting was because he knew damn well his son will not disclose any information about his treatment towards Gu Wei Ting if he went alone. Gu Wei Ting already had enough on his plate, he has no place for his son's careless attitude.
Gu Wei Ting was about to call his son when a figure walking out from the hospital entrance caught his eye.
The man donned in a light blue button down tucked neatly in grey slacks had a phone pressed against his ear. He ran a hand through his hair as he looked around him, probably searching for someone.
Bai Luo Yin?
Gu Wei Ting quickly got out of his car, but before he could act further, a car drove up by Bai Luo Yin. He then entered the car before speeding away. Gu Wei Ting quickly hopped back in his own vehicle and ordered his driver to follow the silver Camaro.
Luckily Bai Luo Yin didn't go far, the Camaro parked itself next to what looks like a noodle shop. Gu Wei Ting's car was parked on the other side of the road, opposite of the restaurant. He saw Bai Luo Yin entered the building with another man, the driver of the Camaro he assumed.
The two took a seat next to the clear glass windows, which made it easier for Gu Wei Ting to continue his spying.
After the accident 10 years ago, Bai Luo Yin just disappeared without a trace. Gu Wei Ting tried everything in his power, used all his political and global connections to track the boy down but failed immensely.
Although he held a mild hatred towards the boy for corrupting his son, in the end he was his wife's only child. Jiang Yuan fell into depression after Bai Luo Yin left, every night she would cry herself to sleep. Sometimes she would scream and blame Gu Wei Ting for Bai Luo Yin's disappearance.
Even Bai Luo Yin's father, Bai Han Qi had no clue where his son was. He only said that Bai Luo Yin had called him the day of the accident telling him he was fine and needed to get away. Sometimes throughout the years, Bai Han Qi would receive hand-written letters with no return address from him. But even in the letters Bai Luo Yin only said he was fine and that his family shouldn't worry.
Gu Wei Ting went on a massive manhunt for Bai Luo Yin for almost two years, but after Gu Hai's condition started to deteriorate, the search was ceased. He had to focus on his son's health and safety, and if Bai Luo Yin doesn't want to be found then so be it.
But now there was his step son, alive and looking almost impeccable. He was no longer the unruly 18-year-old boy that Gu Wei Ting remembered. Bai Luo Yin looked grown up, well he was a grown up.
