The sound of the alarm blaring resulted an unsettling groan to escape Bai Luo Yin's lips. After a few minutes of incessant beeping, Bai Luo Yin stretched his hand out from his warm blanket and shut the alarm off.
The time on his digital clock displayed it was 5:20 in the morning. With a sigh, Bai Luo Yin rolled out from the comfort of his bed and took a hot shower.
The sky was still a light grey as Bai Luo Yin left his apartment, the cold January air in Beijing prickling at his skin and misting his glasses. After a few minutes of walking, the familiar white building came into his view and he fastened his pace, wanting warmth.
It was only 6:30 in the morning but there were many people bustling about in the building. A few people greeted Bai Luo Yin as he made his way towards the cafeteria to grab some breakfast before heading into his office.
It's been 2 years since Bai Luo Yin returned to Beijing.
After finishing medical school and working in the Netherlands, he was recruited to work at Beijing Anzhen Hospital. He was now doing his fellowship under the Cardiology department.
Even though he was still young in the field, he was very well known and respected in the hospital. With his handsome looks and impeccable intelligence, Bai Luo Yin exuded an aura of credibility. He was also very well respected by his seniors and superiors, giving him a bright and prospering future in his career.
Once reaching his cubicle, he replaced his thick padded jacket for his white coat, grab some documents on his desk and stepped out towards the research centre. As he walked down the corridor, all the female nurses that saw him couldn't help but sigh lustfully.
Bai Luo Yin or also prominently known as Dr Louis Bai in the hospital was truly a delicious sight for all eyes. His white coat was perfectly snugged on his lean yet muscular frame and his slacks truly emphasized his long legs. His dark brown hair thick and perfectly tousled, as if he just stepped out of a hair commercial.
Also his face! Features perfectly defined and adorned with bright eyes.
Bai Luo Yin was usually passive and aloof, but when a rare chance someone gets to see his smile, it could make anyone, male or female blush.
"Dr Bai looks really handsome today!" A female patient squealed as she sneaked a peek from her room, the nurse that was attending her also laughed in agreement.
"He's always so dreamy, but too bad he's not interested in women."
"Eh? What do you mean?" The patient asked in disbelief. The nurse made sure that there were no other ears near them and whispered to the patient, "He likes men."
The nurse continued with her gossip with the patient.
In the 2 years Bai Luo Yin has been working at the hospital, many women had approached him; hospital staffs, patients and even the visitors. But each time he would stiffly decline without giving out an explanation. He just outright rejects them.
