ANNA

You ever feel like something's missing out of your life and yet what makes it more irritating is you can't pinpoint as to why? Yeah, that's where I'm at right now.

Ever since I got out of the hospital from England several months ago from an accident I was in, I feel like I haven't been the same. To be honest, not even sure to this day in what I was doing there in the first place.

My friend, Liza, she told me that she had sent me there to teach a hair coloring class at the big hairshow and makeup convention. Which I guess that makes sense. Since I'm one of the best that she knows and a car had hit me and caused me some memory loss which is why I can't remember anything.

"Hey, Anna?" I hear Liza ask me from the backbar of her salon.

"Yeah?" I answer as I try and finish preparing my station before we open up.

"Can you go down the street and grab us a couple coffees and a couple of muffins please?" She asks.

"Of course." I reply.

"Great, thanks!" She tells me.

I grab my keys and wallet then lock the door behind me and start heading down the street towards our favorite and yet, convenient coffee and breakfast place.

While standing in line, I take a look down at my cell and start scrolling through some posts on my Twitter and Instagram. Then I hear the employee call out to me, 'next'.

I place my order and while waiting, I start reading a few comments on my posts from when Liza and I had gone out the other night to celebrate her birthday.

Then I hear my name being called and grab our order before beginning to make my way back.

While walking back, somebody accidentally bumps into me almost causing me to spill the coffee but doesn't.

"I'm so sorry." The young woman tells me.

"It's okay." I laugh it off.

Then as I look up and into her eyes, I get a familiarized feeling as if I know her. Yet, I can't figure it out.

"Have a good day." She smiles at me and then turns and continues walking away.

I contemplate for a moment about why she looked familiar but still, nothing came to mind. I then shake it out of my head and head into the salon.

The rest of the day was busy as always and I loved everybody I worked with too.

It's a fun career I have chosen and I love creating different looks.

Once we were finished, I headed back to my apartment to get off my aching feet and soaked them in one of those Homedic type feet spa things.

Liza had invited me to go out with her but I'm not much for going out to clubs or bars a whole lot so she invites me but I rarely go.

There's a place in particular that she loves going to and to be honest, the decor is a victorian-gothic-look, but it's cool looking. Although whenever I have gone in with her I have always felt weird and like everyone was staring at me. Sometimes it reminded me of high school when people would look at me and make fun of my weight.

I was flipping through channels and then tried Netflix and Hulu for something to watch but nothing seemed good. Then again, I was feeling really tired. So I ended up going to bed.

While asleep, I had a dream that I was standing in the middle of a cobblestone-made-street that was wet from dew that the thick fog provided as the vast of white hung heavy over everything and everywhere. It suffocated every building and every tree at their base, swallowing every distant object and vanishing around every corner.

I have had this dream before. I'm always here alone and I'm not even sure where I'm at exactly. Nobody is around and I am always afraid to move. Then after a brief moment of curiosity and the fear of this turning out to be like a horror movie while forgetting at times this is even a dream and not a real situation, I begin to hear something.

I can see a silhouette of an animal on all fours walking towards me through the mist. I try calling out to it and even backing up but I'm frozen and paralyzed with fear.

The figure gets closer and closer and seems to get bigger in size. Then I begin to hear snarling and growling from all around me and new silhouettes on all fours begin slowly approaching towards me.

I try to close my eyes to wake myself up but, I can't. Then when I see the huge figure in front of me, stop several feet away and begins to stand up taller than a human, that's when I somehow close my eyes and wake up gasping for air in sweat.

Sometimes, I'm afraid to fall asleep because I don't know when the time will come and the figure reveals itself. Night terrors or nightmares, whatever you want to call them, they're getting worse.
